VP Binay nagsampa ng P200M damage suit vs Ombudsman, mga senador, Inquirer

NAGHAIN kahapon ang kampo ni Vice President Jejomar Binay ng P200 milyong damage suit sa mga umano’y naninira sa kanya, kung saan kabilang dito sina Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales, Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano at Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Inihain ang reklamo ng abogado ni Binay na si Claro Certeza sa Makati Regional Trial Court.

Kabilang sa mga inasunto ay sina dating Makati Vice Mayor Ernes Mercado, Mario Hechanova, Renato Bondal, Nicolas Enciso VI, Caloocan Rep. Edgar Erice, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando Tetangco, Jr., Insurance Commissioner Emmanuel F. Dooc, Securities and Exchange Commission chief Teresita Herbosa and Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) executive director Julia Abad.

Mga miyembro sina Tetangco, Dooc, Herbosa at Abad ng AMLC na naunang humiling sa korte na i-freeze ang mga bank account ni Binay na nagkakahalaga ng P600 milyon.

Inaprubahan ng Court of Appeals ang petisyon ng AMLC noong Mayo 11. Pina-freeze din nito ang mga account ng nasuspindeng anak ni Binay na si Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay, asawang si Elenita at mga umano’y mga dummies.

Inilathala naman ng Philippine Daily Inquirer ang mga nilalaman ng ulat ng AMLC, na kung saan ibinunyag nito aabot sa P11 bilyon ang mga deposito ni Binay at mga dummy niya.
