“I’ve been hitting over 400, over 300, so it’s a bit…it’s not been great so I wanted to ask my endo doctor na ano yung problema. ‘

“Cause I haven’t been changing my diet, and eating habits but it’s been spiking pa rin,” pahayag ni Sam sa panayam ng ABS-CBN.

Dagdag pa niya, “Not great in terms of my blood sugar, but it’s still manageable.”

I’m a carb counter so ako ‘yung iniiwasan ‘yung mga pasta, pizza, tapos ako pa ‘yung nagka-diabetes.

“It’s something that I’m living with, and I have just be more nagi-ingat sa kinakain.

“Yun pala it was because mataas ‘yung blood sugar ko and I didn’t get checked. If I would have gone and got checked before na may mga sintomas na ako I could have pre-diabetes and I could reversed it.

“If you are pre-diabetic just get checked. If you have any symptoms just get check your blood sugar,” paalala ni Sam sa lahat.

Dagdag pa niya, “I’ve always thought of myself as a healthy person. I don’t have a sweet tooth, bihira din mag junk food, pero last year I found out na may type 2 diabetes na ako.

“My parents and grandparents never had it. I just wish I got checked up earlier nung pre-diabetes pa.

“My advice – don’t ignore the symptoms (my main symptoms – always thirsty and urinating often) and get checked up regularly,” ang nakalagay sa isang Instagram post ni Sam.
