Inalala ng broadcast journalist na si Gretchen Ho ang naging performance ni Carlos noong lumaban ito sa 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
“By that time, he was already World Champion at his favorite apparatus, the Floor. He let his nerves get to him, and it felt like the biggest sporting stage in the World engulfed the 21-year-old Caloy,” sey niya.
Dagdga pa niya, “In Paris 2024, Caloy comes back to the Olympic stage, so much more mature, level-headed, and steady. It was apparent when he didn’t try to do the triple twisties in the qualifying, opting for a safer routine. Yet, he saved that for his final moment on the Floor.”
