Robin Padilla paiimbestigahan ang paglusob ng pulisya kay Quiboloy

BALAK ng actor-politician na si Sen. Robin Padilla na paimbestigahan ang ginawang operasyon ng Philippine National Police (PNP) sa compound ng Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) sa Davao City para i-serve ang arrest warrants ni Pastor Apollo Quiboloy at limang iba pa nitong kasamahan.

Ayon sa actor-politician, ihahain niya ang isang resolusyon ngayong araw, June 18, para paimbestigahan sa Senado ang umano’y “unnecessary at excessive force” ng mga miyembro ng PNP sa kanilang pagsisilbi ng arrest warrant.

Saad ni Sen. Robin, “In serving warrants, law enforcement should take into consideration the totality of the situation at hand which should not in any way violate the dignity of person.

“There is a need for the PNP to promote and protect human rights because these very acts are vital to the maintenance of public order, guarantee of public safety, and respect for the rule of law.”

Maging ang naging pahayag ng dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at ang mga naging report tungkol sa pag-raid daw ng mga operatiba ng PNP, kabilang na ang mula sa Special Action Force (SAF) at Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), ang premises ng KOJC kabilang na ang Prayer at Glory Mountains ay nabanggit rin ni Sen. Robin kung saan may mga misyonero umanong nasaktan sa pangyayari.

“In light of this event, former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, who has been recently designated as the Administrator of the KOJC properties, issued a statement that the alleged illegal raid was a clear violation of the law, and described it as an overkill in any language,” lahad pa ng senador.

Matatandaang noong Huwebes, June 13, naglabas ng pahayag ang dating pangulo na magsasagawa raw ito ng legal na aksyon laban sa mga pulis na gumamit ng “excessive at unnecessary force” sa pag-serve ng arrest warrant laban kay Quiboloy at sa iba pa nitong kasamahan.

Ang naganap na serving of arrest warrants ay kaugnay ng inilabas ng Pasig City Court para sa mga kasong qualified human trafficking cases na isinampa laban sa pastor at sa lima pa nitong kasama.

Bukod sa nabanggit na kaso ay nahaharapdin sa mga kasong child at sexual abuse sa Davao City si Apollo Quiboloy.
