MUKHANG naka-move on na nga nang bonggang-bongga si Tom Rodriguez mula sa pagkawasak ng relasyon nila ng dating asawang si Carla Abellana.

Fresh na fresh ngayon ang awra ng Kapuso actor na parang hindi dumaan sa matitinding pagsubok at problema nitong mga nagdaang taon.

Sa guesting ni Tom sa “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” kahapon, game na game niyang sinagot ang mga maiintriga at maiinit na tanong about his personal life pati na rin sa kanyang pagbabalik sa mundo ng showbiz.

Isa sa mga naitanong ni Tito Boy sa aktor ay kung ano kanyang panalangin para sa kanyang ex-wife na si Carla.

“I really wish her well. Every one of us deserves happiness and I truly wish that for her,” ang tugon ni Tom na mukhang sincere at honest naman sa kanyang naging sagot.

Samantala, nakiusap muli si Tom na huwag nang magdetalye tungkol sa kanyang lovelife pero inamin nga niya na totoong may bagong babaeng nagpapasaya sa kanya ngayon.

“In the context of romantic love, in the last two years. How did you know that you could still fall in love?” ang tanong ni Tito Boy kay Tom.

“If you had asked me just a few years ago, Tito Boy, I would have a very different answer.

“Pero like I said when I went through that healing process, that wasn’t even in my mind but I do believe that… love does find you when you are ready for it, and when it found me, I thought my doors would be closed forever.

“Hindi pala. Because I am experiencing it again now,” esplika ng aktor.

Aniya, “I believe that love does find you when you are ready for it. And when it found me, I thought my doors would be close forever, hindi pala, because I am experiencing it again now.

“And it’s something that I will treasure and cherish and really do my best to really protect it.

“Like I said, this time around, my previous relationships were almost open to the public. And what I really learned was to put up healthy boundaries.

“This time around, I’m gonna keep it for myself and those people that are very important to me.

“Sorry na nagdadamot ako. Not for bad reasons. Pero para sa akin lang, yun ang natutunan ko, to treasure and cherish what you do have,” paliwanag niya.

Sundot na tanong ni Tito Boy sa kanya, “Why did you admit that you have a girlfriend?” Mabilis na tugon ni Tom, “Why not? I’m not hiding.

“I don’t wanna live life na nagtatago ako, you’re avoiding people. I wanna live my life but, at the same time, I wanna put up those boundaries.

“Hindi ko naman freely ibibigay rin lahat kasi para sa amin yon. I’m not hiding and I would freely admit, I am seeing someone. But the details of those, sa akin na lang po,” sabi pa ng Kapuso star na nagsabing “very happy” siya ngayon.

Nabanggit din ni Tom na talagang hindi naging madali para sa kanya ang mabuhay nitong nagdaang dalawang taon after nilang maghiwalay ni Carla.

Nanatili ang aktor sa Amerika kung saan naging sandalan niya ang kanyang pamilya. Tanong sa kanya ni Tito Boy, “Gaano katindi ang iyak na pinagdaanan mo in the last two years?”

“A lot. Lalo being there and seeing my mom struggle even more with me, seeing me in that condition.

“At that time, I felt like I was starting at a negative. ‘Cause a lot of things that I thought meant a lot to me disappeared,” aniya.

Unti-unti siyang naka-recover sa tulong na rin ng kanyang pamilya at mga kaibigan, “You realize, in that lowest moment, you have a lot to be grateful pa rin pala, Tito Boy. You have a lot to be thankful for.

“If we can go through the darkest moment in our lives, and find that inner strength and that resilience, at mahanap mo ‘yung lakas sa loob-loob mo na bumangon pa rin, I think that’s something to be proud of,” sabi pa ni Tom.
