Marina Summers nakuha ang 2nd win sa Drag Race: ‘You’re born to do drag!’

PINABILIB muli ng Pinay drag queen na si Marina Summers ang mundo sa latest episode ng “RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs The World” season 2.
‘Yan ay matapos siyang magwagi for the second time dahil sa “Rusical Challenge.”
Sa 5th episode ng show na umere noong March 9 (Manila time), ang pitong natitirang drag queens ay inatasang mag-compose ng lyrics at gumawa ng choreography para sa group performance na tinawag na “Seven: Confessions of a Drag Queen” na inspirasyon sa hit comedy musical show na “Six.”
Sa solo performance ni Marina, talaga namang kinabog niya ang ibang kandidata na kung saan ay pinakitaan niya ito ng kanyang bonggang dancing and rap skills.
Proud na proud din niyang nirepresenta ang pagiging Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng ginawa niyang kanta.

Heto ang bahagi ng kanyang verse:
“I’m a Filipina diva with a confession, I’m a little Asian from a faraway nation.
“Ready to take over, Filipina domination; Manila to the world, drop it hot like it’s made of ice, like sticky rice.”
Dahil sa husay ni Marina, humanga ang mga hurado ng show, lalo na ang world’s famous drag queen na si RuPaul.
Sey pa nga sa kanya, “Marina Summers, you were born to be on stage. You were born to do drag.”
“You have represented not only the Philippines, but drag in such a way that it makes us all proud for you,” giit pa ni RuPaul.
Naging emosyonal naman si Marina at sinabi niya na isang dream come true ang maging kinatawan ng Pilipinas pagdating sa international stage.
“This is such a dream come true to me. And yeah, I hope I made [the] Philippines proud with that performance because we don’t get this opportunity a lot back in the Philippines to be seen on an international level,” sagot niya habang naiiyak.
Dagdag pa niya, “This is Filipino drag and I’m very, very proud to represent it internationally.”
Sa pamamagitan naman ng Instagram, ibinandera ng Pinay drag performer ang kanyang kasiyahan matapos makuha ang “Stamp of approval” ni RuPaul.
“WORLD! We got the stamp of approval from mother RuPaul herself! [I’m] crying at 6am in the morning!” caption niya.
Wika pa niya, “This was such a meaningful moment for this little diva. Manila to The WORLD! Here we farkinggg go!”

Wagi ang Pinay star sa nasabing episode at pinili niya ang UK queen na si Gothy Kendoll na mag-babu na sa show.
Si Marina ang kauna-unahang drag queen na talagang naging vocal at proud na proud sa pagrepresenta ng ating bansa na nag-compete sa international edition ng hit reality competition na “Drag Race.”
Ilan lamang sa mga naunang Pinay drag performers na sumali sa international franchise ay sina Manila Luzon, Jiggly Caliente, Vivenne Pinay, Rock M. Sakura, at marami pang iba.
Para sa mga hindi aware, siya ang nanalong first runner-up sa “Drag Race Philippines” season 1 na umere noong 2022.
