Premyadong direktor na si Tikoy Aguiluz pumanaw na, pamilya may pakiusap
PUMANAW na ang veteran film director na si Amable “Tikoy” Aguiluz VI, o mas kilala sa mundo ng showbiz bilang si Tikoy Aguiluz.
Kinumpirma ng kanyang pamilya ang malungkot na balita ngayong araw, February 19, sa pamamagitan ng social media. Walang binanggit kung ano ang naging dahilan ng kanyang pagkamatay.
Sa kanilang official statement, nakiusap ang naulilang pamilya ni Direk Tikoy na hayaan muna silang magluksa sa pagpanaw ng kanilang mahal sa buhay.
“With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Amable ‘Tikoy’ Aguiluz VI or Direk Tikoy to most of us.
“While we grieve this loss deeply, we kindly ask for your understanding as we choose to mourn in private for the time being.
“We assure you that once we are ready, we will share details about a public service where all who knew and loved Direk Tikoy can join us in paying tribute and saying our final goodbyes.
“Your patience, understanding, and support mean the world to us as we navigate through this period of grief.

“We thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and expressions of sympathy during this time,” ang kabuuang pahayag ng pamilya Aguiluz.
Ang unang pelikula ni Direk Tikoy ay ang “Boatman” na ipinalabas noong 1984 kung saan bumida sina Sarsi Emmanuelle at Ronnie Lazaro.
Ang ilan pa sa kanyang mga hindi malilimutang pelikula ay ang “Balweg” (1985), “Segurista” (1996), “Rizal In Dapitan” (1997), “Tatsulok” (1998), “Tatarin” (2001), “www.XXX.com” (2003), “Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story” (2011), at “El Brujo” (2015).
Nagwagi siyang Best Director sa 1996 Gawad Urian para sa “Segurista”, at sa Metro Manila Film Festival 2011 movie na “Manila Kingpin.”
