“It’s so easy to dismiss what is in front of me as I am bombarded by social media to have this and to have that.
“Sometimes I think of all that, too. How my house needs an upgrade, my looks, my life. Because ‘everyone else’ has done it, so I gotta keep up.
“But why? And says who?” ang simulang bahagi ng kanyang caption ng ibinahagi niyang short video clip sa Instagram kung saan nagba-bonding silang pamilya habang nasa kama.
Patuloy ni Rica, “My friend told me ‘I wanna keep traveling like you.’ I said, ‘Honestly I only do it a lot because my job and stature – which has begun more than 30 years ago – is able to afford it.’
“But if it weren’t that way I know I wouldn’t be riding planes and checking in hotels, BUT we’d still be on adventures.
“I’d be setting up tents on camping grounds for only a few hundreds of pesos already good for four people and cook our own food in the wild.
“Because the value is adventure, not first class, or luxury stays. Because the value is relationship, family, time together, above all. And we already have those, we can work on those, for much less than how others are able to do it,” pagbabahagi pa ng celebrity mom at life coach.

Sa huli, pinaalalahanan ni Rica ang kanyang IG followers, “Let’s check our values today, shall we? Realign and shoot them in the right places.

“Cause social media can make us forget with its stream of must-haves and i-still-don’t-have. We can’t control that surely but at least we can control and remind ourselves. Have a great day!” sey ni Rica.
“My mom never had way too much. But she found a way to bring our big family to places.
“We ate from big cauldrons of adobo we secretly cooked, while only some ate the free breakfast in hotels. We took turns. But we were so happy. And we never felt like we lacked anything.
“I mean we knew we weren’t as well off as some people are but we did not feel insecure about it cause she focused so much on togetherness,” lahad pa ni Rica Peralejo.
