JC nakatanggap ng napakaraming offer matapos manalo sa MMFF 2023

INAMIN ni JC Santos na dahil sa pagkapanalo niya ng Best Supporting Actor sa pelikulang “Mallari” na entry ng Mentorque Productions sa 49th Metro Manila Film Festival ay dumami ang offers sa kanya.
Naikuwento ito ng aktor sa panayam niya sa online show na “Pilipinas Today Facebook Live” kamakailan.
Aniya, “I got so many offers after (nakatawa) it’s great, so, medyo nakaka-overwhelm kasi I used to read one script a month and now I’m reading seven.
“So, I have to choose na projects this time with my agent. We were book until April next year ha, ha, kaya suwerte-suwerte and I thank God for work (muwestra ng praying hands),” aniya.
Bago pa sumapit ang MMFF 2023 Gabi ng Parangal ay marami na ang nagsasabing siya ang mananalong best supporting actor pero hindi niya pinasok sa ulo niya.

Pero nu’ng mismong gabi na ay nagsabi raw ang asawa niya na posibleng manalo nga siya.
“I did not (expect) but my wife keep telling me na, ‘alam mo there’s a possibility that you’ll win, so, you prepare your speech.’ Ha-hahaha! So, I felt that nu’ng nagpe-present ako ng award with Enchong Dee that time.

“(Naisip ko) oo nga ‘no? Nasa stage ako ngayon mahirap magsalita dito kung hindi ako prepared baka mabulol-bulol ako, so, when I was watching (nasa upuan na siya) I was doing this (sinusulat sa cellphone) my speech while listening, reacting to the people winning, on the spot lahat ‘yun kaya ang bilis ko magsalita. Ha-hahaha! I did not expect anything.
“We are eight (nominees) for supporting actor and I thought Enchong Dee’s gonna win kasi napanood ko ‘yung pelikula niya (Gomburza), napanood ko ‘yung work niya sobrang galing ni Enchong and sabi ko ‘he’s probably gonna win.’
“And I did not expect it na ako ‘yung tatawagin ni Papa P (Piolo Pascual) sa prinesnt niya,” masayang kuwento ni JC.
Nagbalik-tanaw ang aktor na nasambit daw ng direktor niyang si Derick Cabrido na, “You probably gonna win but don’t expect it.”
Sagot daw ng aktor, “For me gusto kong manalo para sa ticket sales! If that means maraming manonood ng pelikula natin get super curious then so be it, please sana manalo na lang ako kasi I’ve never wish for ticket sales in my life kasi I love Bryan Diamante of Mentorque Productions, I want him to keep (producing) it.”
Saka inilarawan ni JC kung anong klaseng producer si Bryan Diamante.
“Gusto ko ‘yung patakaran niya, gusto ko kung papaano siya mag-work with artists. Sana lagi siyang nandiyan,” sambit ng aktor.
Sa kasalukuyan ay palabas pa rin sa mahigit 170 sinehan ang “Mallari” na nasa ikatlong linggo na.
