Fans ng ‘It’s Showtime’ tuloy ang banat kay Lala Sotto, dapat na raw mag-resign kung may delicadeza
HINDI pa man lumalabas ang desisyon ng board of directors ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board o MTRCB ay kaliwa’t kanan na ang batikos kay Chairperson Lala Sotto.
Ito’y dahil nga pinag-report sa opisina nito ang producers ng programang “It’s Showtime” kaugnay sa pagkain nina Vice Ganda at Ion Perez ng icing sa “Isip Bata” segment kung saan may mga bata silang kasama.
Bakit sina Vice at Ion lang daw ang napansin ng MTRCB gayung mas matindi raw ang ginawa ng magulang ni Chair Lala na si dating Senate President Tito Sotto na hinalikan sa leeg ang maybahay nitong si Gng. Helen Gamboa-Sotto sa programang “E.A.T.” ng TV5 na marami rin ang nakapanood.
Kaliwa’t kanan na ang sigaw ng bashers na “biased” ang hepe ng nasabing ahensya dahi nga magulang nito ang involved.
At ngayong napatawan na ng 12-day suspension ang “It’s Showtime” ay “resigned” naman ang sigaw ng mga tagahanga at tagasubaybay ng Kapamilya show. Dapat daw ay alam ni Chair Lala ang salitang “delicadeza.”
Kahit nagsabi nang hindi siya nakialam sa desisyon ng board ay walang naniniwla dahil nga siya ang pinuno ng MTRCB.
Araw-araw, oras-oras, minu-minuto ay maraming bagong post sa official social media pages ng MTRCB at inaatake nga si Chair Lala at ang board na umabot na sa personal kaya naman naglabas na ng official statement ang Board kaninang tanghali tungkol dito.

“STATEMENT OF THE BOARD In re: Disturbing threats targeting Chairperson Lala Sotto* Lala Sotto, the Chairperson of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) became the target of alarming online attacks.
“Netizens have taken to the official social media pages of the MTRCB to express their grievances in an inappropriate and harmful manner, raising serious concerns about the safety and security of the Chairperson.
“Over the past weeks, we have experienced an unfortunate surge in threatening messages on our official social media pages, including explicit rape and death threats directed at Chairperson Lala Sotto.
“Chairperson Lala Sotto is a dedicated public servant who has spent her career advocating for responsible and inclusive media content. She has consistently championed the importance of media content that respects cultural sensitivities while contributing positively to the Philippine entertainment industry.” ayon kay MTRCB Vice Chairman Njel De Mesa.
Say naman ni MTRCB Executive Director II Atty. Mamarico Sansarona Jr., “No Filipino deserves such kind of unfounded personal attack. We must not resort to personal attacks because our agency is just doing its mandate. We are happy that our Chair is very active in discharging the functions of our office based on existing laws.”
“While the MTRCB recognizes the importance of constructive criticism and open dialogue, it strongly condemns any form of threats, harassment, or violence, both online and offline. Such behavior is not only illegal but also runs counter to the principles of a Filipino value-based media and entertainment culture that the MTRCB upholds.
“The MTRCB remains steadfast in its mission to ensure that television and movie content aligns with the cultural values and norms of the Philippines. We continue to encourage constructive dialogue with the public, emphasizing the importance of civil discourse and responsible criticism.”
Samantala, mariing sinabi ni Chair Lala na wala siyang kinalaman sa naging hakbang ng Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Social Media (KBSM) ng Pilipinas sa isinampa nilang demanda laban kina Vice Ganda at Ion Perez.
Ang larawang nag-viral sa social media na ka-meeting siya ng nasabing grupo noong Agosto 24 ay may iba silang agenda at hindi kasali ang dalawang host ng It’s Showtime.
