Jay R balik Pilipinas para sa reunion concert nila ni Kyla, excited sa ‘next level’ na performances

MUKHANG bongga ang inihandang sorpresa para sa nalalapit na reunion concert ng tinaguriang “King of R&B” na si Jay R at “Queen of R&B” na si Kyla!
Pinamagatan itong “Back In Time: Kyla and Jay R The Reunion Concert” na nakatakdang mangyari sa New Frontier Theatre sa Cubao, Quezon City sa September 2.
Recently lamang ay nagkaroon ng solo press conference si Jay R para sa upcoming show at dito niya ibinunyag ang ilang detalye na dapat abangan ng fans.
Chika ng singer, asahan ang ibang level na performances nila ni Kayla.
“You know after 20 years it could get very redundant, you know, singing the same song and dancing to the same stuff, pero what I’m excited about this concert is how we’re going to take it to the next level and show the audience something nostalgic pero new at the same time,” sey niya sa entertainment press.
Paliwanag pa niya, “Siyempre we wanted to keep that same sound that’s everyone is familiar with, pero you know, we wanted to make it fresh, we wanted to make it millennial, we wanted to make it Gen Z ‘diba.
So I think that’s the challenge na we’re going through in creating the new sound from the old songs,” ani pa ng King of R&B.

Tiniyak din ni Jay R na magiging sulit ang pagpunta ng fans sa kaabang-abang na reunion concert dahil halos 30 songs ang inihanda nilang awitin.
“We want to make sure that the show is very sulit din sa mga fans, especially kasi it’s a 20-year reunion after so long kaya I don’t know, probably like 30 songs or something like this,” sambit ng singer.
Dagdag pa niya, “I mean, not full songs lahat ha…but when you count everything, it’s probably around 30.”

Nabanggit din ng R&B singer na bukod sa duet at solo performances ay sinusubukan pa rin niyang pasayawin si Kyla sa concert.
Kung maaalala, nauna nang nabanggit ni Kyla sa isang press conference na nagpa-practice na siyang sumayaw, pero hindi pa siya sure kung sasayaw nga siya during the reunion concert.
“I’m still trying to convince Kyla to do a dance with me,” saad ni Jay R.
Patuloy niya, “But that’s one preparation that we want to do is to touch up on our dancing skills. Medyo matagal na kaming hindi sumasayaw e, but for sure vocalizing and memorizing the lyrics talaga.”
Magugunita noong nakaraang buwan nang unang humarap sa media ang Queen of R&B para sa nasabing concert.
Hindi present that time si Jay R dahil nasa Amerika noon at abala sa kanyang concert tour.
Ayon kay Kyla, pareho silang excited ni Jay R sa gagawing show dahil matagal-tagal din daw silang hindi nagsama sa iisang entablado.
Perfect timing din, aniya, ang taong 2023 dahil ipinagdiriwang din nilang dalawa ang ika-20th anniversary bilang music tandem.
