Lea Salonga tinamaan ng COVID-19, pahinga muna sa trabaho: ‘Thankfully, my overall symptoms were mild’

TINAMAAN ng COVID-19 ang Broadway star at international singer-actress na si Lea Salonga.
Ito ang dahilan kung bakit pansamantala muna siyang hindi mapapanood musicale play na “Here Lies Love” na ipinalalabas sa The Broadway Theatre na nagsimula pa noong nakaraang buwan.
Mismong si Lea na ang nagpaliwanag sa lahat ng mga nagtatanong kung bakit ilang araw na siyang hindi napapanood sa nabanggit na Broadway play.
Ngayong araw, August 7, nag-post ang singer-actress sa kanyang Facebook page kung saan kinumpirma nga niyang nagpositibo siya sa COVID-19 kaya kailangan niya munang magpagaling.
“Hi everyone! So perhaps few of you that have been coming to Here Lies Love this week noticed that I haven’t been in the theater since Wednesday,” simulang pagbabahagi ni Lea.
“Well, I tested positive for COVID, and thus made the decision to isolate and stay away from work. Thankfully, my overall symptoms were mild, quite a different experience from my first bout with the virus,” aniya pa.
Pagpapatuloy pa ng award-winning singer, “Although I did wish to return by weekend, COVID had other ideas, so out of abundance of caution for audiences, co-workers and myself, I opted to take all the time to rest and heal.
“I intend to come back to The Broadway Theatre this Tuesday. However, since I’m still on the mend, I will opt out of stage door autograph signing until further notice.
“As wonderful as it is to connect to you all after the performance, I need to take care of myself.
“Thank you so much for supporting our show! Can’t wait to get back on the dance floor!” dagdag pang mensahe ni Lea.
Bumuhos naman ang mga mensahe mula sa mga netizens at halos lahat ay nagsabing ipagdarasal nila ang mabilis na paggaling ng OPM legend.
