Bamboo ‘target’ maglabas ng bagong album makalipas ang 8 taon

KAHIT abala sa pagiging coach ng “The Voice Philippines” ang singer-songwriter na si Bamboo Mañalac, hindi pa rin maiwasang isipin ng maraming fans kung kailan siya maglalabas ng bagong album.
Magugunitang taong 2015 nang huling magkaroon ng album si Bamboo na pinamagatang “Bless this Mess.”
Na-interview ng INQUIRER si Bamboo at ang good news ay ngayong taon na raw siya magkakaroon ng bagong album.
Nasabi pa niya na natagalan lang daw siya sa paggawa dahil nais niyang maglabas ng kakaibang music.
“It should be soon…definitely this 2023,” sey ni Bamboo sa isang virtual conference kamakailan lang.
Dagdag pa niya, “My band and I have been to the studio and started a couple of things already. Some are hits, some are misses. I’m looking for something different. That’s the thing.”
Nabanggit din niya na nahirapan siyang gumawa ng musika nitong nagkaroon ng pandemya dahil sa COVID-19.

Para raw sa kanya, mas gusto pa rin niya ‘yung magkakasama sila ng kanyang banda na bumubuo ng kanta.
“I have held back because I didn’t enjoy the process of writing or releasing music in this space, especially during the onset of COVID-19. It just didn’t work for me the exchanging of files and such,” chika niya.
Paliwanag pa niya, “It would take you 15 minutes to do something you would normally finish in five seconds. I needed to be in the same room with my guys.”
At para ma-achieve ang kanyang goal na maglabas ng kakaibang musika ay sinubukan niyang makipag-collaborate sa ibang artists upang lalo pang matuto.
Kwento niya, “I have been collaborating with other musicians. Even if I’m not on my lane, I’m on another lane, working on other people’s projects. And it’s a great way to learn.”
Aniya pa, “It’s not your song, so you have to bend to their ideas and collaborate. It’s a great exercise.”
Isa sa mga recent collaboration niya ay ang North American tour kasama ang OPM singer na si KZ Tandingan.
Nag-umpisa na ang performance ng dalawang OPM stars sa Seattle, Washington nitong April 16 at magtatapos sa Toronto, Canada sa May 6.
