MAGPAPAULAN pa rin sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon ang bagyong Amang.

Ayon sa  Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), mananatili ang lakas ng bagyo ngayong araw at posible pa itong humina at maging Low Pressure Area na lamang.

“Possible na mag-weaken into a Low Pressure Area ngayong araw or as early as morning itong Tropical Depression Amang habang binabagtas itong northern part of Camarines Norte. So magkakaroon ng land interaction,” sey ni Weather Specialist Benison Estareja sa press briefing ngayong April 13.

Dagdag pa niya, “However, may chance pa rin ito na manatili as Low Pressure Area pagsapit ng tanghali habang binabagtas ang silangan ng Quezon.”

Dahil sa bagyo, nakataas sa ilang bahagi ng Luzon ang Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal no. 1 sa northern at western portions ng Camarines Norte, southern portion ng Aurora, at northern and eastern portions ng Quezon kasama na ang Polillo Islands.

Ayon sa PAGASA, huling namataan ang bagyong Amang sa karagatan ng Jomalig, Quezon.

Taglay nito ang lakas na hanging 45 kilometers per hour at bugsong aabot ng 55 kilometers per hour.

Ang bagyo ay kumikilos pa-kanluran sa bilis na 10 kilometers per hour.

Bagamat uulanin ang Luzon, sinabi ng weather bureau inaasahan naman ang maaliwalas na panahon sa Visayas at Mindanao.

“For the rest of the country, lalo na dito sa Visayas and Mindanao ay fair weather conditions o mas magiging maaraw naman most of the day,” sambit ni Estareja.

Aniya pa, “Mainit at maalinsangan sa tanghali at possible po ang saglit na pag-ulan, gayundin sa extreme northern Luzon at sa southern portion of Palawan.”

Samantala, nagdeklara na ng class suspension ang ilang lokal na pamahalaan dahil sa masamang panahon at patuloy na pag-ulan.
