NCRPO magpapakalat ng halos 5k na pulis sa Holy Week

HANDA na ang National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) sa darating na Semana Santa.
Inihayag ng ahensya na nakatakda silang mag-deploy ng 4,690 police officers para matiyak ang kaligtasan ng publiko.
Nakatakdang ikalat ang mga pulis sa ilang key areas ng Metro Manila, lalo na’t inaasahang dadagsa ang mga magbabakasyon ngayong Lenten Season, pati na rin sa darating na summer break.
Ipinaliwanag pa ni NCRPO chief Police Maj. Gen. Edgar Alan Okubo na ang mga police officers ay inatasang isagawa ang “anti-criminality operations; target hardening measures; traffic management or direction and other related police public safety services” sa mga lugar gaya ng transportation terminals, lugar ng pagsamba, malls, markets, commercial areas, at parks.
Sa isa pang pahayag ay sinabi ni Okubo na ang mga police officers naman ng kanyang tanggapan ay sasailalim ng training at immersion programs upang mag-assist naman sa mga barangay.
Sey niya, “the training will equip the 240 participants from the five police districts and Regional Mobile Force Battalion of the NCRPO with the knowledge, skills, and values required of a Revitalized-Pulis sa Barangay operative to help local government units minimize service delivery gaps.”
Nanawagan pa ang NCRPO chief na mag-report agad sa pinakamalapit na police station sakaling mayroong security concerns.
Bukod sa NCRPO, naka-standby din ang iba’t-ibang ahensya ng gobyerno upang tumulong sa katahimikan at kaligtasan.
Kabilang na riyan ang Metro Manila Development Authority, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, Special Action Force, Regional Highway Patrol Unit, Regional Maritime Unit, at Aviation Security Group.
