Bonggang kapa ni Celeste Cortesi sa swimsuit round ng Miss Universe 2022 prelims gawa ng mga bata sa Marawi
NAGING mas makabuluhan at makahulugan ang pagsusuot ng kapa ni Celeste Cortesi sa Miss Universe 2022 preliminary competition.
Ibinandera ng Miss Universe Philippines organization sa social media na ang white cape na suot ng kandidata ng Pilipinas sa Swimsuit round ay gawa ng ilang kabataan sa Marawi.
Sa MUPH official Facebook account, makikita ang mga litrato ni Celeste kasama ang mga bata habang ginagawa ng mga ito ang puting kapa.
“Miss Universe Philippines 2022 @celeste_cortesi carried her experience from Save the Children Philippines outreach in Marawi to the Miss Universe stage through the cape that the Filipino children had a hand at making,” ang caption na nakasulat sa FB page ng MUPH.
Sa isa pang post, ibinahagi rin ng Miss Universe Philippines organization ang official statement ni Celeste tungkol sa suot niyang kapa.
“In amplifying the voices of the children who need our help, I wanted to bring them with me on the Miss Universe stage.
“The imprints all over the cape remind me that having a title means to have a purpose beyond myself.
“Having talked to some of the mothers of the children beneficiaries, I was reminded of my own Mother who struggled to provide for my sister and I,” ang pahayag ni Celeste.
“Unfortunately, there are millions of children who live in poverty, amidst crisis. I hope that it inspires people to donate to Save the Children Philippines. There’s much work to be done and every single person’s help matters,” aniya pa.
Agaw-eksena ang dalaga sa naganap na Swimsuit at Evening Gown preliminary round ng 71st Miss Universe. Kaya naman ang feeling ng Pinoy pageant fans, napakalakas ng laban ni Celeste para maiuwi ang korona.
