Base sa panayam niya noong Pebrero 2022, “The reason why I moved to the US is because I want to start my career. Well, it’s always been my goal ever since I was young.”
Naikuwento ito ni Ylona sa kanyang Instagram account kamakailan, “After almost twelve months of being in LA my determination, values, morals, ambitions, boundaries and resilience have been consistently tested in a way like nothing I’ve ever experienced before.
“For those who have been following me since the beginning of my journey in the entertainment industry, you may characterize me as someone who is a fighter and who fights to stay true to myself and my ambitions.
“I flew half-way across the world for this very dream and I understand that nothing is ever easy, but what I find the most difficult right now is to face the people who believe in me. I want to continue to have a strong resolve of staying true to myself but deep down I feel like I’ve been doing the exact opposite.

“I choose to say this now because I don’t ever want those who have dreams to give up on the things that make them who they are. For a while, I wanted to hide away from social media because I felt like I was being inauthentic and hypocritical about my message.
“Going through this journey that I’ve been blessed with, I’ve been taking the time to understand what it means to be a young woman, a young woman in Hollywood and a young woman with a platform.
Pagpapatuloy pa ni Ylona, “I have a fear of speaking up for myself, but in thinking about those who share the same dream as me and are looking up to me as a role model i feel the need and sense of purpose to speak up so that no one will ever have to go through the feeling of being in a position to be scared to voice out how they feel. your life is your own as much as my life is mine.
“While typing this, it doesn’t mean that the fear of speaking up for myself is gone, it just means that today I choose to be brave. to those reading this, I love you, I’m doing this for you and my nine year old bright-eyed self.
“Don’t ever devalue your values, loosen your morals and make light of your boundaries. hold on to your ambitions, grow your determination and be resilient about what you stand for. at times when it’s tough, I remember the people who are fighting with me and for me. so please continue to remember, I’m fighting with you and for you.”
