Ai Ai delas Alas naglamyerda sa isang mall sa QC: Hindi ako nag-alala o natakot
MUKHANG deadma lang ang Kapuso star na si Ai Ai delas Alas sa ipinataw na “persona non grata” ng Quezon City council dahil nitong nakaraang araw lamang nang magpunta ito sa isang mall sa naturang lungsod.
Aniya, wala naman daw dapat epek ang deklarasyon ng Quezon City council sa kanya bilang “persona non grata” lalo na at hindi niya naramdaman na galit o ayaw sa kanya ng mga residente ng lungsod.
“Hindi ako welcome sa mga taga-City Hall, pero ‘yung mga tao sa Quezon City, welcome ako sa kanila,” saad ni Ai Ai.
Kasama niyang gumala ang kanyang anak na si Seth at alagang asong si Sailor.
Base sa report ng pep.ph, nagdesisyon si Ai Ai na mamasyal bago siya bumalik pa-Amerika.
Walang pag-aalalang nararamdaman ang Kapuso actress dahil alam niyang wala siyang nilalabag na batas at nagbabayad siya ng buwis.
“Na-touch nga ako dahil marami ang nagpa-picture na kasama ako. Doon sa isang restaurant, nag-video pa yung staff. Ang sabi nila, ‘Welcome back, Ma’am Ai-Ai!’ kaya hindi ko naramdamang persona non grata ako sa Quezon City,” pagbabahagi ni Ai Ai.
Matatandaang nagpasa ng resolusyon si outgoing District IV councilor Ivy Lagman na nagdedeklarang “persona non grata” sina Ai Ai delas Alas at Darryl Yap sa Quezon City maging ang mga taong may kinalaman sa campaign video kung saan nabastos ang official seal ng QC.
Ang naturang campaign material ay para kay Mike Defensor na tumatakbo noon sa pagkaalkalde ng lungsod.
“I am calling all the content creators, especially Mr. Darryl Yap and Ms. Ai-Ai delas Alas, and many others who were part of this project, to apologize to the citizens of Quezon City for debasing and bastardizing the beloved seal of Quezon City,” pahayag ni Coun. Lagman.
Aniya, nabastos raw ang official seal nang gamitin ito sa video na may nakalagay na “BBM-Sara”.
Dagdag pa ni Coun. Lagman, “laws of our land to superimpose the said seal just to campaign for a politician… I reiterate our call for these people, Mr. Darryl Yap, Ms. Ai Ai Delas Alas, Cong. Mike Defensor and his cohorts, to apologize to the citizens of Quezon City for their actions, and also promise to never do such acts again.”
Samantala, naglabas naman ng statement ang abogado ng Queen of Comedy ukol sa isyu.
“The video which circulated during the campaign period is clearly a satire, a parody. It is not intended to be a statement of fact and is clearly not meant to be taken seriously by the audience.

“The video was obviously intended to be watched and taken as a whole, all elements being fictitious, including the seal behind the character portrayed by my client.
“It is unfortunate that the city council is nitpicking to find basis to curb freedom of expression in the guise of defending a perceived dishonor.
“We strongly condemn this act of the Quezon City council which endangers the protection granted by the freedom of expression for artists, entertainers, content creators, and comedians who use satire or parody to express sentiments or criticize public acts or figures.
“This also endangers their livelihood since it appears to be a form of cancellation making them wary to take on similar works in fear that public officials will retaliate in similar fashion.
“As public officers, the members of the Quezon City council should be more prudent and circumspect in the exercise of their discretion and should not take hasty actions which could adversely affect my client and cause undue anxiety to her family and friends.
“While we believe that the resolution does not physically affect my client, we will be monitoring every statement made against her to ensure that my client’s rights are protected.”
