Kris Aquino lilipad na pa-Amerika para magpagamot: Time is now my enemy
PATUNGO na ngayon ang Queen of All Media na si Kris Aquino sa Houston, Texas upang magpagamot.
Ibinahagi ni Tetay sa kanyang Instagram account ngayong araw ang isang bideo kung saan makikita na may isang medical staff na nagsasagawa ng swab test sa kanya.
“Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nagdasal for my recovery. Here’s the TRUTH as explained by my attending physician Dr. Niño Gavino, an exceptional Filipino American doctor based in Houston who successfully diagnosed what’s really wrong with my health,” panimula ni Kris.
Sa naturang video ay idinetalye ng kanyang doktor ang kanyang sakit na Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangitis (EGPA) na dating tinatawag bilang Churg-Strauss Syndrome.
Ayon sa doktor ni Kris, ang EGPA ay isang “ultra-rare disease” kung saan nagkakaroon ng inflammation sa blood vessels na nagreresulta ng restriction ng kanyang blood flow na maaaring mag-cause ng organ damage sa katawan kung hindi agad maaagapan.

“For now and the next few years- sadly, it’s goodbye. Praying na kayanin ng katawan ko itong matinding pagsubok,” dagdag pa niya.
Matatandaang sa nakaraang post ni Kris noong May 16 ay ibinahagi na niya na “life-threatening” na ang kanyang sakit.
Base sa video ay matapos na i-review ang lahat ng medical records ni Kris ay nagdesisyon sila na sumailalim si Tetay sa steroid drug challenge ngunit sa kasamaang palad ay hindi naging maganda ang response ng katawan niya rito at nakaranas siya ng “severe adverse reactions” na halos mag-incapacitate sa kanyang katawan.
“Because of her reaction to corticosteroids, we are unable to treat her with it, hence we reinforced our recommendation for her to go to the United States to undergo treatment with Nucala (Mepolizumab), a non-steroid, FDA-approved treatment for EGPA,” saad ng doktor ni Kris at sinabing available lamang ang gamot sa US at hindi pa aprubado sa Singapore at Pilipinas.
“The subsequent 9 to 12 months will be crucial for us to see if she can achieve remission and continue the regimen further because to survive, Ms. Aquino will have to make whichever combination works her lifetime maintenance medicine,” pagpapatuloy ng doktor.
Aniya, magsisimula ang kanyang Nucala treatment matapos ang mga blood tests, reevaluation ng kanyang autoimmune markers, maging ang status ng kanyang mga internal organs.

Sa huli ay nanatili pa ring positibo si Kris sa kanyang post sa kabila ng bigat ng sitwasyon.
“Kahit 17 hours away na kami nila kuya josh & bimb to fly to & the Pacific Ocean separates the [Philippines] from [United States], I’d still like to end this with #lovelovelove,” saad niya.
Matatandaang simula pa noong Marso ay hindi na maganda ang lagay ng kalusugan ni Kris noong aminin niya na na-diagnose siya ng erosive gastritis and gastric ulcer.
