Toni exit na sa PBB, wala raw formal resignation; Bianca papalit bilang main host
USAP-USAPAN ngayon ang TV host-actress na si Toni Gonzaga matapos mapabalita na hindi na ito magiging parte pa ng “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB).
Sa tweet na ibinahagi ni MJ Felipe, ibinunyag niya na tuluyan nang aalis ang aktres sa naturang show ayon sa kanyang reliable source.
“According to a reliable source, Toni Gonzaga will no longer host Pinoy Bog Brother,” saad ni MJ.
Dagdag pa niya, “No formal resignation but source said Toni has voluntarily endorsed the main hosting job to Bianca Gonzalez.”
Isa si Toni sa mga original hosts ng reality game show franchise na “Pinoy Big Brother” buhat nang magsimula ang ABS-CBN na iere ito noong 2005 kasama sina Mariel Rodriguez at Willie Revillame.
Hinala naman ng mga netizens, may kinalaman ang pagiging trending ng TV host-actress sa kanyang pag-alis.
Agad kasing naging laman ng social media si Toni matapos itong mag-host sa proclamation rally nina Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at Sara Duterte na naganap sa Philippine Arena kahapon, February 8.

Marami sa mga netizens, maging ang ilang celebrities, mga past at current employees ng Kapamilya network ang na-disappoint sa ginawa ng aktres matapos nitong i-endorso si Rep. Rodante Marcoleta na isa sa mga bumoto kontra sa pagbibigay ng franchise renewal sa ABS-CBN noong 2020 na naging daan para libo-libong tao ang mawalan ng trabaho sa gitna ng pandemya.
“Traydor sa sariling tahanan! Toni is taking a big risk. Baka umaasa siya na manalo si BBM at mabigyan silang mag-asawa ng lucrative na posisyon sa gobyerno?” saad ng isang netizen.
“Buti naman! Delicadeza na lang. We respect her political preference pero dyusko naman di ba?” comment pa ng isa.
“Meron naman po karapatan. Pwede naman po iboto ni Toni ang ninong niya pero ‘yung tumayo sa stage at ipakilala ang taong dahilan ng pagdudusa ng mga empleyado ng ABS-CBN, ‘yun po ang masakit at kawalan ng delikadesa,” sey pa ng isang netizen.
Tila nakalimot raw ito sa kanyang naging pahayag noon nang i-shutdown ang Kapamilya network.

May mga netizens naman ang nagtanggol kay Toni at nagpakita ng pagsuporta sa aktres.
“She may left PBB or the station, but we can’t argue that she also leave a mark that reminds us of how great she is being a host and an artist with such intelligence and big heart, she already proved herself to everyone that she can conquer anything that comes in her way. Go Toni,” sabi ng isang Twitter user.
“Toni is a great actress and singer. No wonder she has the ‘Multimedia Star’ title. I respect her decision on her political preference and I respect her (in leaving) the show and stand on what she believes in. Goodluck Toni! Welcome to the outside world!” sey ng isa pang netizen.
Ayon nga sa tweet ni Atty. Gideon V. Peña, “If a talent has an existing contract with a media organization, her contract can’t be terminated due to her conflicting political stand. Otherwise, it risks being liable for breach of contract.
“The burden is on the talent to quit and request for release. That is delikadesa.”
Dagdag pa niya, “A talent does not need to submit a resignation letter. The relationship between a talent and a media organization is generally one of independent contracting and not that of an employer-employee. (See: SONZA v. ABS-CBN)
