NGAYON pa lang ay siguradong excited at abangers na ang mga Filipinong adik sa beauty pageant para sa Miss World 2021 na gaganapin bukas nang umaga sa Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum sa San Juan, Puerto Rico.
At siyempre, super dasal na ngayon ang mga kapamilya, kaibigan at supporters ng Pinay beauty queen na si Tracy Maureen Perez, ang ating representative sa nasabing international beauty pageant.
Kahapon, nagbunyi na ang bansa matapos makapasok ang dalaga sa Top 5 Beauty With a Purpose Round ng Miss Universe 2021 kaya talagang umaasa ang madlang pipol na malakas ang laban ni Tracy this year.
“Philippines!! We made it to the top 5 of the BWAP final round. Miss World Organization will also be coming to the Philippines to fund my project. Mommy Chona, this is for you and to all the solo parents out there.
“This was all just a dream and now it’s finally happening. Thank you everyone for the continuous support!! A few more days before the coronation night, lalaban tayo!!” ang caption ni Tracy sa kanyang Instagram post.
Nangako naman ang mga IG followers ni Tracy na ipagdarasal ang pagkapanalo niya sa ika-70 edisyon ng Miss World at sana nga’y siya na nga ang tanghaling ikalawang Miss World sa Pilipinas next to Megan Young.
Sa isang panayam, nabanggit ni Tracy ang ilang paghahandang ginawa niya bilang representative ng bansa sa nasabing international beauty pageant.
Bukod daw sa usual training para sa question and answer segment at runway walk, nag-aral din siya ng basic Spanish at nag-research tungkol sa Puerto Rico. Humingi rin daw siya ng advice sa mga dating Miss World Philippines winners.
Isa raw sa mga tumatak na payo sa kanya ay ang sinabi ni Miss World Megan Young na, “You just really have to be yourself.”
“Unlike other competitions, they would judge you from the very beginning, from the instant that you land in Puerto Rico. They will be looking for someone who is real, who is authentic, and someone who can carry the Miss World brand,” ang sabi raw sa kanya ng Kapuso actress.

Aminado naman ang dalagang Cebuana na may mga pagkakataon ding pinanghihinaan na siya ng loob, “I have to be honest. There were times that I would give up, that I would tell myself that I can’t do it I am not enough, that I will never be at par with all those amazing beautiful girls, especially the Latinas.
“But I thought to myself If I don’t believe in me, who else would?” aniya pa sa nasabing panayam bago magtungo sa Puerto Rico.
Isa sa mga biggest inspiration niya sa buhay ay ang kanyang yumaong ina na mag-isang nag-alaga at nagtaguyod sa kanya.
“I know all throughout my journey she will be guiding me and that pushes me to really work hard despite everything and take on every challenge,” lahad pa ng beauty queen.
