Lovi, Janine bibida sa isang GL story; magkakaroon kaya ng ‘steamy’ scenes?

INAMIN ng LGBTQ member director na si Samantha Lee na estudyante palang siya sa film school ay si Lovi Poe na isa sa pangarap niyang makatrabaho.

Nabunyag ito nang tanungin siya sa ginanap na ‘iWantTFC Unwrapped’ ni Cinema One host, Bianca Gonzales-Intal kung bakit sina Janine Gutierrez at Lovi ang naisip na bida ni direk Samantha sa GL (Girl Love) story na “Sleep with Me” na produced ng Dreamscape Entertainment at Project 8 Projects nap ag-aari nina Direk Dan Villegas at direk Antoinette Jadaone.

“Sleep with Me is a love story that takes place entirely in the night time,” kuwento ni direk Samantha sa gist ng series.

Sa pagpapatuloy kung bakit sina Lovi at Janine, “Well, si Lovi has always been since I was in film school siya na talaga ‘yung gusto kong maka-trabaho, she was like my north star (ang ganda ng ngiti), when you say, ‘oh I keep doing this and I keep getting better it was like in the hoops one day I get to work with Lovi.

“And then si Janine… “

Humirit ang Marry Me, Marry Me lead star, “wala lang, ha, ha, ha.”

“Friends kasi sila kasama si Janine also kaya ganyan sila magsalita baka akala nila,”salo ni Bianca.

Tuloy ni direk Sam, “No I love her…. It’s such an honor to have been able to grow and to watch Janine grow as an actress and now I’m super excited kasi I think even growing in parallel lines and finally now we got to work together, so, I’m really excited too to see her in action.”

Pinasalamatan naman ni direk Dan si Lovi dahil ito ang bida sa una niyang pelikula na “Mayohan” noong 2010 Cinemalaya entry kung saan nanalong new breed best actress ang dalaga at best cinematographer naman ang direktor.

“Super excited lang ako kasi si Lovi was my actress sa first film na idinirek ko and I’m so excited and happy to work with her again na kung wala si Lovi wala rin siguro akong career? So, thank you.

“Si Janine naman I’ve been a fan since, so, I’m just be happy to be here and producing this wonderful project with direk Sam na when I saw Billie and Emma (movie 2018), sabi ko I want to work with this director kasi meron siyang boses, meron siyang gustong sabihin which is we value storytellers,”balik-tanaw ni direk Dan.

Bakit napa Yes ang dalawang aktes sa “Sleep with Me”?

“Well honestly of course direk Dan, I’ve already worked with him like 11 or 10 years ago and that was my first best actress award, thank you direk Dan, so, of course gusto ko siyang maka-trabaho ulit.

“Of course direk Sam I was supposed to do a project with her years ago and that’s probably one of the things na ni-regret ko na hindi ako nagkaroon ng time para gawin iyon.

“Now, we’re finally here, and I really get to work with them that was really a fantastic movie and of course, Janine, who’s my sister din, I’m just really excited to work with her because I know how talented she is and she’s very passionate with her work.

“So, I just want to work with the best of the best and here we are. I’m just really blessed to be surrounded by these people,” paliwanag ni Lovi.

Si Janine naman,”I feel the same way with Lovi. I wanted to work with direk Dan, I’m a fan of his work.

“Sam and I we’re supposed to do a project also before and it didn’t push through and it was .. alam mo yung pag may project na you feel so bad na hindi natuloy?

“So, I was always holding on na eventually, the chance will come and here it is and with Lovi pa who I always admired! I swear, idol kita! Yuck, nagbolahan tayong apat ano ba ‘to?

“Anyway, the story is really something I don’t think has been shown in like the Filipino setting, and I’m so excited for people to learn more about this topic and alam ko, maraming makaka-relate.

“At the core, it’s a love story na talagang you’ll get attached to and it will make you feel so it’s really the story at heart.”

Natanong naman kung may steamy scenes sina Janine at Lovi since GL story ito.

“Well, I don’t think steamy, given me as a director, I don’t think I describe it as steamy.

It will be something that I am going to do for the first time. But I think, being that it’s me, I want to integrate other things like consent and how do you navigate these types of situations when it’s two women. I don’t think steamy will be the right word, but it’s definitely something to look forward to, yeah ha, ha, ha” tawang-tawang katwiran ng direktora.
