Katrina Velarde nagluluksa sa pagpanaw ng asawa, humingi ng privacy mula sa publiko
KINUMPIRMA ng singer na si Katrina Velarde ang pagpanaw ng asawang si Mike Shapiro noong Nobyembre 14 sa edad na 57 years old.
“It is with deep regret that I wish to announce the passing of my husband, musician and educator Mike Shapiro last November 14 in Quezon City, at the age of 57.
“Mike was a drummer, percussionist and music producer who recorded and toured extensively with Sergio Mendes and other music stars like Natalie Cole, Al Jarreau, Flora Purim, will.i.am and others,” saad ni Katrina sa inilabas niyang official statement patungkol sa pagpanaw ng asawa.
“He was also a close associate of Herb Alpert with whom he worked for many years until the time of his death. He taught at the LA Academy of Music where he was also Vice President, Director of Education and Dean of Students. He was also a professor at the Herb Alpert School of Music, pagpapatuloy ng singer.
Humingi rin ng privacy si Katrina habang kasalukuyang nagluluksa sa pagkamatay ng asawa.
“Prayers for the repose of his soul are most appreciated and I would like to request for privacy during this difficult time. Thank you,” dagdag pa ni Katrina.
Marami naman da mga tagahanga ng mag-asawa ang nagulat nang kumalat ang balita lalo na’t noong Mayo 2021 lamang nang ikasal ang dalawa.
Sa kabila ng nakakagulat na balita ay bumuhos pa rin ang pakikiramay ng kanilang mga kapamilya, supporters pati na rin mga kaibigan ni Mike mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo.
Huling nakita si Mike ng entertainment press noong Hulyo 1,2021 nang samahan niya ang asawa sa virtual press conference para sa bagong single niyo na “Sa Panaginip” under Viva Records.
