Sen. Go, hindi pabor na buwagin ang PhilHealth

Hindi pabor si Senador Christopher “Bong” Go na isapribado o buwagin ang PhilHealth.

Pahayag ito ni Go matapos imungkahi na isapribado na ang PhilHealth dahil sa kaliwa’t kanang korupsyon.

Kapag nagkataon, sinabi ni Go na magiging negosyo na ang PhilHealth.

Sa ngayon, mas makabubuti aniya na bigyan muna ng pagkakataon si bagong PhilHealth President Dante Geirran na linisin muna ang tanggapan.

“Alam niyo itong sa PhilHealth issue, para sa akin po kapag isinapribado po ito, magiging negosyo na po ang PhilHealth. Magiging profit-oriented na po [and] the business of government is not profit. [It is] service,” pahayag ni Go.

Mismong si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte aniya ay tutol ding isapribado ang PhilHealth.

”I agree with Gierran na huwag muna at sabi naman ni Pangulong Duterte, bibigyan muna ng pagkakataon ang bagong pamunuan ng PhilHealth to prove their worth and work to clean PhilHealth. Sa ngayon hindi pa po. hindi muna iaabolish sa ngayon,” pahayag ni Go.

Malinaw aniya ang utos ni Pangulong Duterte kay Geirran na ipakulong ang dapat na makulong na nangurakot sa pondo ng PhilHealth.

“Ang task po ng bagong presidente ng PhilHealth is to clean, investigate, audit at papanagutin, ipakulong ang dapat makulong. Suportahan muna natin ang bagong pamunuan ng PhilHealth and let’s see until December. Kapag hindi niya nalinis, sabi ni Pangulo, maaaring abolish niya,” pahayag ni Go.
