VICO SOTTO

PURING-PURI rin ng marami si Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto sa kanyang paninindigan which he articulated sa kanyang Twitter account.

“We’re using our vehicles but it’s NOT enough. Our risk assessment shows that we can’t ban tricycles at this point.

“Health workers need to get to work. Some emergencies can only be reached by tryk. For now, I am allowing tricycles to operate w/in Pasig. TORO will issue guidelines

“Clarification: – Subject to TORO guidelines such as limited # of passengers (social distancing)

“Puwede lang magsakay ng pasaherong EXEMPTED sa quarantine. Let’s all cooperate for a successful #CommunityQuarantine and unite to #BeatCovid19.”

With that, pinuri ng netizens ang kanyang naging action.

“If only the entire govt runs with the kind of decisiveness, critical thinking, and compassion of Mayor Vico has, people don’t need to be cowed into cooperating. This is a man they can entrust their lives to in these uncertain times. Pasig, pa-adopt huhu!”

“Good job, Mayor @VicoSotto. At a time like this, I greatly appreciate intelligent and decisive leaders. No shade, just pure appreciation. Keep it up.”

“The Mayor who really thinks and assess because he personally check the situation and not just relly on he’s people in city hall.”

“Thank you mayor Vico. Nakauwi ako from duty sa hospital kasi may tricycle pa. Although may mga nag-aalangan magsakay. We have to explain na we came from hospital duty.”
