Kabilang si PNP chief Gen. Archie Gamboa sa 66 star-rank officers, o heneral, na sumailalim sa biglaang pagsusuri na isinagawa sa kasagsagan ng command conference.
Ang iba pang sumailalim sa “on-the-spot” na pagsusuri ay mga miyembro ng command group, directorial staff, at mga direktor ng regional offices at national support units.
“This drug testing not only determines the fitness of PNP commanders to stay in their posts. But more importantly, manifests the sincerity of the PNP to cleanse its own ranks,” ani Gamboa.
Ayon kay PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, mga tauhan ng PNP Crime Laboratory ang nagsagawa ng pagsusuri at malalaman ang mga resulta Biyernes.
