Palasyo iginiit na walang VIP treatment kay Sen. dela Rosa
IPINAGTANGGOL ng Palasyo ang patuloy na panawagan ng gobyerno sa Amerika na magpaliwanag kaugnay ng kanselasyon ng US visa ni Senator Ronaldo “Bato” dela Rosa.
Iginiit ni Presidential Spokesperson at Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo na wala namang special treatment na ibinibigay kay dela Rosa.
“No, not special kasi sinabi natin when we banned the senators, we stated the reasons why. Oh, they’re banning also a senator! Pareho lang,” sabi ni Panelo.
Nauna nang ipinag-utos ni Pangulong Duterte ang terminasyon ng Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) dahil sa pagkakansela ng US visa ni dela Rosa.
“Eh, ang gobyerno noon hindi sila concerned; itong gobyernong ito concerned sa lahat ng ating mga kababayan. Tandaan mo, mga senador din ang bin-an (banned)natin eh and we told them exactly why we are banning them. So, dapat siguro as a matter of courtesy, sinabihan din tayo. Hindi niya nga alam kung bakit siya na-ban eh!” ayon pa kay Panelo.
