NAGLULUKSA ang local music industry dahil sa pagpanaw ng composer na so Ferdie Marquez na isa rin sa founding member ng bandang True Faith.
Ibinahagi ni Medwin Marfil, bokalista ng True Faith, ang malungkot na balita kagabi sa kanyang Facebook account. Aniya, heart attack ang ikinamatay ng kanyang kaibigan at kabanda.
Narito ang FB post ni Medwin, “It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news of (Truefaith original member) Ferdinand Marquez’s passing.
“Ferdz formed Truefaith with me and Francis Guevarra back in 1992. He was a very talented & gifted musician. And a caring friend.
“My most heartfelt commiserations to Tita Connie, Manny, Bel and the rest of their family and his friends.
“Ferdz… Maraming salamat for sharing your immense talent with me and everyone. You have taught me much.
“RIP Ferdz.”
Bumuhos sa social media ang mensahe ng pakikiramay at simpatya para sa yumaong composer.
Comment ni Ogie Alcasid sa post ni Medwin, “Oh my. Deepest condolences.”
Nag-tweet naman ang singer-composer na si Ebe Dancel tungkol sa pagkamatay ng kaibigan, “Ferdie Marquez, one of True Faith’s founders, passed away today. My heart is heavy. Salamat Ferdie for always being a good friend to me.”
Ayon naman kay Moy Ortiz na miyembro ng grupong The Company, “My deepest condolences to you , to the bad and the families Medwin O. Marfil.”
Ilan sa mga kantang pinasikat ng True Faith ay ang “Perfect,” “Dahil Ikaw,” “Huwag Na Lang Kaya” at “Muntik Nang Maabot Ang Langit.”
