Bago magka-diploma kailangan magtanim ng puno
INAPRUBAHAN ng Kamara de Representantes sa ikalawang pagbasa ang panukala na magoobliga sa mga gagraduate sa elementarya, high school at kolehiyo na magtanim ng puno.
Sa ilalim ng Graduation Legacy for the Environment bill magiging prerequisite sa isang estudyanteng magtatapos ang pagtatanim ng 10 puno.
“Therefore, the educational system shall be utilized as an avenue for propagating ethical and sustainable use of natural resources among the youth to ensure the cultivation of a socially-responsible and conscious citizenry,” ani Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano, may-akda ng panukala.
Ang puno ay maaaring itanim sa forest land, mangrove at protected areas, ancestral domains, civil at military reservations, urban areas na nasa ilalim ng greening plan ng lokal na pamahalaan, inabandonang minahan at mga kaparehong lugar.
Ang klase ng puno na itatanim ay nakadepende sa lugar upang matiyak na ito ay angkop.
