Kamara iimbestigahan pabahay sa biktima ng Zambo siege na substandard, gumuguho

PINAIIMBESTIGAHAN  sa Kamara de Representantes ang umano’y substandard na bahay na ibinigay sa mga pamilyang naapektuhan sa Zamboanga siege noong 2013.

Ayon kay House committee housing and urban development chairman Albee Benitez dalawang beses nabiktima ang mga naapektuhan ng gera na inilungsad ng Moro National Liberation Front.

“They’ve become victims twice over. First, by the force of nature and second, by the force of man’s indifference and greed,” ani Benitez.

Bukod sa substandard na bahay, hindi rin umano maayos ang sanitation, ventilation at power facility ng mga bahay.
Hindi umano nalalayo ang kalagayan nila sa mga nasalanta ng bagyong Yolanda na binigyan din ng substandard na bahay.

Naglaan ang Aquino government ng P1.5 bilyon para ipatayo ang 6,343 bahay sa ilalim ng Zamboanga City Roadmap to Recovery and Rehabilitation.

“It is tragic that the house that was supposedly the symbol of new beginning for families affected by the Zamboanga siege has become a threat to their lives,” dagdag pa ng solon. “Hindi nga sila namatay sa bakbakan, baka dito na sila matuluyan sa ginawang pabahay para sa kanila.”

Noong Pebrero ay mayroong mga bahay na gumuho.
