Envoy ni Pope Francis humanga sa masayang Sinulog
HUMANGA ang kinatawan ni Pope Francis sa Pilipinas sa naging karanasan matapos lumahok sa Fiesta Señor sa Cebu City sa unang pagkakataon.
Naghintay si Archbishop Gabriele Giordano Caccia, Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, sa Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño noong Sabado matapos siyang dumating sa Queen City of the South para panoorin ang apat-na-oras na prusisyon ng imahe ng Sto. Niño.
Nakilahok din siya sa alas-6 na misa noong Sabado na pinangunahan ni Palo Archbishop John Du at sumali sa sayawan sa tradisyunal ng Sinulog.
“My heart is full of joy and gratitude and I want to say a big thank you to dear (Cebu) Archbishop Jose Palma, the bishops, and especially to all of you dear people of God,” sabi ni Caccia.
Itinalaga si Caccia noong Nobyembre 2017.
“He (Pope Francis) loves the Filipino people. And for sure, he has vivid memories of his visit in the Philippines three years ago. When I met him, he would tell me ‘You will find the faith of the people (Filipinos). You will be edified by these wonderful people,” dagdag ni Caccia.
