Pilipinas HD bibigyang-pugay ang mga makabagong bayani

BIBIDA naman ang mga tinaguriang makabagong bayani ng Pilipinas sa bagong cable channel na Pilipinas HD kung saan mapapanood ang iba’t ibang uri ng programa na siguradong babago sa takbo ng buhay ng bawat Pilipino.

Sa pangunguna ng founder nitong si Chino Trinidad na kilala rin bilang isang sports anchor and analyst, ito na ang chance ng bawat Pinoy na maka-experience ng mas exciting at mas makabuluhang TV viewing. “Pilipinas HD will be the medium where stories of unsung heroes will be retold and highlighted. Pilipinas HD levels up Filipino viewing,” ani Chino.

Naniniwala si Chino at ang iba pang nasa likod ng Pilipinas HD na ito na ang tamang panahon para ipalaganap ang kanilang misyon – ang makapagbigay ng mga heart-warming narratives of what makes the Filipino a great race. “We are at a crossroads in our history when we must seek to know and understand the past in order for us to move faster, higher and more effectively into the future.

“We need to tell our children the greatness and the nobility of being Filipino. We simply tell the truth as it deserves to be told, in the eyes of historians, experts and story-tellers who researched, studied or saw recent history unfold,” paliwanag ni Chino. Nagsimulang maging operational ang Pilipinas HD noong June 12 kasabay ng pagdiriwang ng Independence Day. Maaaring mapanood ang mga programa sa Pilipinas HD nang libre hanggang June 30.

Isa sa mga dapat abangan sa Pilipinas HD ay ang “Decoding Duterte” kung saan mapapanood ang ilan pang mahahalagang detalye tungkol kay President-elect Rodrigo Duterte na uupo na sa Malacañag sa darating na June 30. “Just when TV content is known to seek the negative, Pilipinas HD seeks to redefine and retool Filipino viewers with heart-warming narratives of what makes the Filipino a great race,” sey pa ni Chino.

Hirit pa niya, “This is not a company. This is a movement for change. A movement that says ‘Here is your heritage. Now, what are you going to do about it? This is your history. This is your culture. This is your country. This is your Pilipinas HD.”

Samantala, napansin naman ng independent film director/producer na si Cyrus Jay Cire Valdez na dumarami ang mga programa at shows na pure entertainment value lang.  “When I was in college, a lot of people from the industry would come and have talks about their years of experience in the field. Most of them would say that one cannot change the industry, that a lot of them have tried and failed, that the industry will change you instead,” aniya.

Hanggang sa dumating nga ang Pilipinas HD na hindi lamang entertainment value ang hatid, kundi malaman at may puso rin – may puso sa pagbabago, sa tao at sa bansa. Maaaring mapanood ang Pilipinas HD sa CableLink (Channel 45) at sa MyCATV (Channel 8).
