Angeline Quinto’s then amateur contest demeanor manage to seep through again now that she’s wading through familiar grounds of professional competition. For two consecutive times, Angeline has graced Himig Handog competition without luck and this has made her realize her calling.
“Nu’ng first time ako na hindi nanalo ay nahiya ako sa composer kasi isang team kami dito, eh. Ang unang-unang kinanta ko ay ‘One Day’. So, sabi ko parang ‘wag na lang. Tapos na ako sa mga singing contest. Nanalo naman ako sa Star Power,” Angeline said.
But she had a change of heart when she “realized” that “parang ipinanganak ako para rito (competition).”
Last year, Angeline’s entry was “Hanggang Kailan” which also didn’t win in the “Himig Handog” music tilt.
Kanya-kanyang panahon ‘yan kahit na kaninong tao,” she explained.
Angeline and Michael Pangilinan will interpret “Parang Tayo Pero Hindi” composed by Marlon Barnuevo.
