Kaso ipinababasura ni Ricketts
Naghain ng Motion to Quash si Optical Media Board chairman Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Ricketts sa Sandiganbayan Fourth Division at hiniling na ibasura ang kanyang kasong graft.
Sinabi ni Ricketts na walang sapat na katibayan laban kay Ricketts kaya dapat na ibasura ang kaso.
Ipinunto ni Ricketts na walang ebidensya na ipinag-utos niya ang paglalabas ng 121 kahon ng mga nakumpiskang pirated CD at DVD sa compound ng OMB noong Mayo 31, 2010.
“Accused Ricketts was not at the scene of the alleged offense,” saad ng mosyon. “Accused Ricketts is being forced to answer for acts, which, as established by the prosecuton itself, he has never committed.”
Wala rin umanong ebidensya na makapagsasabi na inutusan ni Ricketts ang kanyang mga kapwa akusado na ibalik sa Sky High Marketing Corp., ang mga nakumpiska.
