Posibleng kuning guest candidate ng Liberal Party si dating Sen. Panfilo Lacson sa senatorial slate nito pero may mga balita na nanganganib na maalis ang reelectionist na si Sen. Teofisto Guingona.
Ayon sa isang source mayroong mga tumututol sa pagpasok ni Lacson subalit natapos na umano ang negosasyon makaraang makipagpulong it okay administration candidate Mar Roxas at Senate President Franklin Drilon.
“He will be a guest candidate with a commitment that he will only join the campaign sorties of LP,” saad ng source.
Nakukuwestyon naman umano ang loyalty ni Guingona dahil sa mga posisyon nito sa mga polisiya ng Aquino government.
“May paka-loose cannon. His status as of the moment is 50/50, in short he can be included or excluded,” dagdag pa ng source.
Nagdadalawang-isip naman umanong tumuloy si Las Pinas Rep. Mark Villar na tumakbo sa pagkasenador dahil ayaw umano ni Sen. Cynthia Villar na sundan ang mag-ina sa Senado na si dating Sen. Loi Ejercito at Sen. Jinggoy Estrada.
Sa Biyernes iaanunsyo ng LP ang mga kandidato nito sa pagkasenador. Kasama umano sa nakatitiyak ng puwesto sa slate sina Drilon, Sen. Ralph Recto, dating Sen. Francis Pangilinan, Justice Sec. Leila de Lima, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Director General Joel Villanueva, at dating Energy Sec. Jericho Petilla.
