Taxi business ni Luis apektado ng isyu ng Uber at Grab

FOLLOW-UP ito sa nasulat namin tungkol kay Luis Manzano kahapon dito sa BANDERA, tinanong din kasi namin kung naapektuhan ba ang LBR taxi business niya sa Uber at Grab taxi companies na mas gusto ngayong sinasakyan ng commuters dahil feeling safe sila.

“May konti, kasi ‘yung sa amin naman, we’re providing the same services, they’re providing transportation from point A to point B, so kung baga, bakit kami kailangan ng mahabang process na pagdaananan para magpatakbo ng isang taxi.

“E, samantalang sila (Uber at Grab), hindi pa accredited (dati), ngayon na lang sila (na-accredit), tapos bakit sila app (application) lang? Samantalang were providing all the same services.

“Yes we understand, paminsan-minsan, admittedly, may mga ma- lokong drivers at the same time, marami rin akong naririnig na maganda rin naman tungkol sa drivers namin, but basically, only one in level plain field, ‘yun lang ‘yun,” katwiran ng The Voice Kids 2 host.

Tinanong namin si Luis kung ilang units na ang LBR, “okay lang, wala pa kaming 1,000.”

Pero bakit nga ba kulay pink ang LBR taxi, “Malalaman mo kaagad na sa amin ‘yun. In fact kaya kami kinuha kaagad ng LTFRB for their pink advocacy kasi nagpahiram kami ng 60 (units) taxi na para i-prioritize ang kabataan, kababaihan, ayokong sabihing mga matatanda, mga mature and person with disability.

“So, sa mga malls, sila ‘yung priority ‘yung time na ‘yun. At kaya pink kasi nu’ng time na nasa Bangkok (Thailand) kami rati, ang nakita kong taxi, me yellow, green, nasanay tayo, at least ito, kapag nakita mong pink, 99.95 alam mong LBR ‘yun.”

Oo nga, first time lang namin nakakita ng pink taxi na paboritong kulay din ng Angel investor ng LBR na si Kris Aquino.
