FilAm composer panalo sa Oscars

WAGI ang Filipino-American composer na si Robert Lopez at misis nitong si Kristen Anderson-Lopez sa Best Original Song award para sa awiting “Let it go” mula sa animated film na Frozen sa 86th Academy Awards sa Los Angeles, USA kahapon (Linggo sa US).

Si Lopez ang kauna-unahang Filipino-American na nakapag-uwi ng Oscar, at nakakuha ng  pinakamalaking awards na tinatawag na EGOT sa US – ang Emmy, Grammy, Oscar at Tony.

Sa panayam sa mag-asawa, bago pa magsimula ang event, ay pinasalamatan ng mga ito ang mga Filipino na sumuporta sa pelikulang Frozen at sa popular nitong theme song na “Let It Go”.

Tinalo ng “Let It Go” ang  “The Moon Song” mula sa pelikulang Her nina Karen Orzolek at Spike Jonze, “Happy” mula sa Despicable Me 2 niPharrell Williams, at “Ordinary Love” mula sa Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom ng U2.

Ang Frozen ay pangalawa sa may pinakamalaking kinita na animated film sa kasaysayan.  Ang nauna ay ang Toy Story 3.
