Maliban sa fans at netizens, nagbigay-pugay rin ang ilang celebrities na nakatrabaho at talagang naging malapit sa legendary actress.

Paglalarawan ni Barbie Forteza, “heartbreaking” ang pagkawala ng movie icon.

Inihayag naman ni Charo Santos-Concio ang kanyang paghanga kay Gloria noong bata pa siya.
Inamin din niya na hindi siya makapaniwala na nakatrabaho niya ito sa isang proyekto.

Nakiramay naman si Melissa Mendez sa mga naiwang pamilya ng iconic actress –ang anak nito na si Maritess Gutierrez, pati na rin ang apo na si Chris.

Ang wake ni Gloria ay gaganapin sa Arlington Memorial Chapel sa Quezon City simula ngayong Linggo, January 26, bagama’t ito ay mahigpit na eksklusibo para sa pamilya at mga kaibigan.
Ang public viewing ay sa January 27 at 28 tuwing umaga lamang.
Ilan sa mga pelikula na nagpasikat sa yumaong artista ay ang 1952 film an “Madame X,” at “Dalagang Ilocana” na makalipas ang dalawang taon ay hinirang siyang Best Actress sa FAMAS.
Ang mga kinatampukan pa niyang mga pelikula ay ang “Hong Kong Holiday,” “Condemned,” “Nagbabagang Luha,” “Tanging Yaman,” “Magnifico,” “Moments of Love,” “Beautiful Life,” “Rainbow’s Sunset,” at marami pang iba.
Nakabilang rin siya sa ilang TV dramas katulad ng “Familia Zaragoza,” “Mga Anghel na Walang Langit,” “May Bukas Pa,” at “I Love Betty La Fea.”
Dahil sa natatangi niyang husay sa pag-arte sa ilang dekada niya sa entertainment industry ay marami na rin siyang natanggap na parangal.
Kabilang na riyan ang dalawang FAMAS Award for Best Actress awards, isang FAMAS Award for Best Supporting Actress, dalawang Gawad Urian acting awards, at dalawang Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Best Actress awards.
