Jude Bacalso nanindigang valid ang ‘Sir’ complaint laban sa waiter
IGINIIT ng Cebu-based writer na si Jude Bacalso na valid ang kanyang nagong reklamo sa isang waiter sa restaurant matapos siya nitong tawaging “Sir”.
Matapos ang mahigit isang buwang pananahimik ay at hindi pagsasalita tungkol sa isyu ay tuluyan nang binasag ng writer ang kanyang katahimikan sa nagdaang Cebu Press Fredom forum noong Huwebes, September 19.
Naimbitahan bilang resource person si Jun sa forum na pinamagatang ““MAMSER: Reaching Out, Improving Media Reporting to Future Journalists,” in-adress ni Jun ang mga nangyari sa insidente.
“I had a valid complaint. I was misgendered three times. My standard response is always humor, but inclusivity is crucial, especially in public-facing industries,” saad ng manunulat.

Nilinaw rin ni Jun na hindi naman niya hiniling na mag-viral at maisapubliko ang naturang insidente pati na rin ang waiter na na-involve.
“Neither the server nor I wanted this to go public. Unfortunately, one person posted about it on social media, which put us both in a bad light,” dagdag pa niya.
Sinabi rin ni Jun na wala siyang balak na kasuhan ang taong naglabas ng larawan nila online.
Punto rin niya, bagamat hindi naman krimen ang misgendering ay masakit ito para sa taong makakaranas.
“Calling someone by their correct pronoun is a form of respect, and I’ll give you that. Wala may mawala nako, wala may mawala nimo (I won’t lose anything and you won’t lose anything),” lahad pa niya.
