2 biktima ng human trafficking na-rescue sa KJC compound

NA-RESCUE ng mga pulis sa Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) compound ang dalawang biktima umano ng human trafficking noong Linggo, August 25.

Ito ay kasunod ng warrant of arrest laban sa founder nito na si Apollo Quiboloy at iba pa, ayon sa Davao police.

Base sa report ng Police Regional Office (PRO) 11, isa sa mga biktima ay ang 20-year-old na lalaki na kinilalang si “Lorenzo” na pinangakuan ng scholarship sa Cebu noong 2021.

“The parents reported that they have had no direct communication with their son since 2021,” saad ng pulisya.

Dagdag pa, “They had sought assistance from various agencies in Cebu regarding their son’s situation, but their efforts were unsuccessful until they informed the KJC member who recruited them that they intended to involve the police. It was then that they discovered Lorenzo had been taken to KJC Davao since June 2024.”

Lumalabas sa imbestigasyon ang binata ay hinikayat na manatili roon ng tatlong buwan sa KJC compound, pero nang mag-request siyang uuwi ay hindi ito pinayagan ng KJC officials.

Samantala, ang isa pang biktima ay ang 52-year-old na si Genelyn Bingil na ni-recruit at na-brainwash ng mga miyembro ng KJC.

Ang nag-report kay Genelyn ay ang kanyang 28-year-old na anak na babae.

“[She] never returned home to her children in Midsayap after being confined inside the KJC compound,” sey niya.

Noong Sabado, August 24, aabot sa halos 2,000 na PNP ang nang-raid sa KJC compound sa Davao City upang arestuhin si Quiboloy na wanted sa mga kasong child abuse, sexual abuse at qualified trafficking.
