Dolly excited nang makatrabaho si Lea sa entablado: ‘I can’t wait!’
DALAWANG buwan nalang, bibida na sa entablado ang broadway star na si Lea Salonga at ang Hollywood breakout na si Dolly de Leon!
Kaya naman si Dolly, ibinandera na ang kanyang excitement na makatrabaho si Lea sa kaabang-abang na na Manila run ng 1971 play na “Request sa Radyo” by Franz Xaver Kroetz.
Para sa kaalaman ng marami, sina Lea at Dolly ay magpapalitan sa kanilang solo piece performances.
Sa Instagram, inalala ng award-winning veteran actress kung paano sila unang nagkakilala ng theater icon, kalakip ang picture nila together na mukhang kakagaling lang sa kanilang rehearsals.
“First met this powerhouse of a talent in our teens when we were taking jazz classes with the fabulous Aldeguer sisters, Lally and Terry,” chika niya.

Patuloy niya, “Decades later we get to collaborate as alternates in a play that means so much to us both, with a theme that has always been anathema to me – loneliness.”
“We’re both hoping this partnership sheds light on what it’s like to be away from home and our loved ones – a phenomenon we’re both very familiar with,” kwento pa niya kung ano ang aasahan sa upcoming musical play nila.
Bandang huli, inihayag niya ang pagkasabik sa proyekto nila ni Lea: “It’s been six years and I can’t wait to come back home with you, @msleasalonga! [white heart emoji]”

Ang play ay isang Filipino adaptation ng “Wunschkonzert” or “Request Program” ng German playwright and film director na si Franz Xaver Kroetz.
“Request sa Radyo (Wunschkonzert / Request Program) is Franz Xaver Kroetz’s landmark theatrical piece that captures the poignant solitude of a woman through her meticulous evening routine,” saad sa synopsis ng nasabing play.
Kwento pa, “As she navigates her quiet, solitary life, her actions and her favorite radio program reveal the profound loneliness and yearning for connection that lie beneath.”
Ang “Request sa Radyo” ay mapapanood simula October 10 hanggang 20 sa Samsung Performance Arts Theater, Circuit Makati.
Para malaman ang cast schedule nina Lea at Dolly, maaaring bisitahin ang social media pages ng ng nasabing theater venue, habang ang tickets ay mabibili via Ticketworld.
