TULAD ng kanyang asawang si Leyte Rep. Richard Gomez, naging emosyonal din si Ormoc City Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez sa pag-graduate sa college ng nag-iisa nilang anak na si Juliana.
Present siyempre ang celebrity couple at public servant sa graduation ceremony ng kanilang anak na si Juliana Ma. Beatrice T. Gomez.
Nagtapos ang dalaga sa University of the Philippines Diliman with a degree in public administration at gumradweyt pa na cum laude.

Sa kanyang Instagram account, nagpasalamat si Juliana sa UP na naging ikalawang tahanan niya sa loob ng ilang taon at hinding-hindi raw niya makakalimutan ang naging journey niya sa pagiging college student.

Sa comments section ng Instagram photo ni Juliana, nag-iwan ng madamdaming mensahe si Lucy kung saan ibinandera niya kung gaano siya kasaya at ka-proud sa solong anak nila ni Richard.

Aniya sa caption, “I vividly remember your first day in school as a young child. I drove you to your school near the house, you were in a white shirt and jeans in rubber shoes.
“Look at you now all grown up and a college graduate in Public Administration at the UP Diliman and a Cum Laude,” ang pahayag ng award-winning actor at public servant.
Pagpapatuloy pa niya, “Mom was in tears going up the stage. My eyes were in tears too when I went back to my seat as things sank into my head and realized how time flies so fast.
“Go on and make things better and beautiful,” mensahe pa ng kongresista para sa nag-iisang anak.
