LIST: Partial winners ng 40th Star Awards; Alden, Julia, DongYan may special award

TIYAK na maningning ang gaganaping 40th Star Awards for Movies sa July 21 sa Henry Lee Irwin Theater dahil malalaking artista ang mananalo.

Naglabas na ng partial winners para sa minor at technical categories ang Philippine Movie Press Club para sa nasabing awards night.

Naunang bibigyan ng Special Awards sina Alden Richards at Julia Montes para sa “Movie Loveteam of the Year” para sa pelikulang “Five Breakups And A Romance.”

Kasama rin ang mag-asawang sina Dingdong Dantes at Marian Rivera bilang “Takilya King and Queen” para sa record-breaking movie nilang “Rewind.”

Sina LA Santos at JC Santos naman ang tinanghal bilang “Movie Supporting Actor of the Year” para sa “In His Mother’s Eyes” at “Mallari,” respectively.

Si Gladys Reyes naman ang nagwaging “Movie Supporting Actress of the Year” para sa “Here Comes The Bride.”

Malalaman ang mga nagsipagwagi sa huling anim na major categories sa mismong Gabi ng Parangal na magaganap sa July 21, 2024 sa Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo De Manila University, Quezon City kabilang dito ang Movie Actress of the Year, Movie Actor of the Year, Movie of the Year, Movie Director of the Year, Indie Movie of the Year, at Indie Movie Director of the Year.

Kaabang-abang kung sino sa apat na movie queens na magsasabong na sina Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos (When I Met You In Tokyo), Megastar Sharon Cuneta (Family Of Two), Diamond Star Maricel Soriano (In His Mother’s Eyes), at Superstar Nora Aunor (Pieta) – ang tatanghaling Movie Actress of the Year.

O, baka naman masilat pa ang parangal ng iba pang nominadong aktres na kinabibilangan nina Gina Alajar (Monday First Screening), Ai Ai delas Alas (Litrato), Alessandra De Rossi (What If), Gladys Reyes (Apag), Kathryn Bernardo (A Very Good Girl), at Marian Rivera (Rewind).

Maglalaban naman para sa Movie Actor of the Year sina Christopher De Leon (When I Met You In Tokyo), Dingdong Dantes (Rewind), Piolo Pascual (Mallari), Coco Martin (Apag), Alden Richards (Five Breakups And A Romance), Cedrick Juan (Gomburza), Roderick Paulate (In His Mother’s Eyes), Romnick Sarmenta (About Us Not About Us), Sean De Guzman (Fall Guy), at Alfred Vargas (Pieta).

Espesyal ang magiging selebrasyon ng PMPC ng ika-40 taon o apat na dekada ng Star Awards for Movies kaya naman apat na tinitingalang mga artista ang pararangalan ng Dekada Awards na sina National Artist Nora Aunor, Christopher de Leon, Piolo Pascual, at Vilma Santos.

Napili ang apat na Dekada Awardees base sa pinakamaraming bilang ng Acting Awards na napanalunan sa loob ng 40 taon o apat na dekada ng Star Awards for Movies (Top 2 for actors, Top 2 for actresses).

Igagawad ang “Lifetime Achievement Awards” sa dalawang haligi ng Philippine showbiz na sina veteran actress Liza Lorena (Nora Aunor Ulirang Artista Lifetime Achievement Award) at veteran movie producer Vic del Rosario Jr. (Ulirang Alagad ng Pelikula sa Likod ng Kamera Lifetime Achievement Award).

Bibigyang-parangal ng “Ethel Ramos Dean’s Lister Award” ang veteran columnist at dating PMPC President na si Ronald Constantino dahil sa malaking ambag niya sa club at maging sa industriya.

Ang 40th Star Awards for Movies ay inoorganisa ng mga opisyal at miyembro ng PMPC sa pangunguna ng Pangulo nito na si Rodel Ocampo Fernardo. Katuwang ng PMPC ang Airtime Marketing ni Tess Celestino-Howard at ito ay ididirehe ni Eric Quizon. Ang kabuuan ng awards night ay ipalalabas sa A2Z sa July 27, Sabado, 10:30 ng gabi.
