Michelle Dee hindi pa ‘ready’ ipasa ang MUPH crown: Feeling ko iiyak ako

ILANG araw nalang, ipapasa na ni Michelle Dee ang korona sa pipiliing bagong Miss Universe Philippines.

Dahil diyan, may paalala ang reigning queen para sa mga naggagandahang mga kandidata ng national pageant.

“It’s the last stretch, so just make sure you double down on your trainings. Just remember your core, why you are here. What are you fighting for? Because at the end of the day, that is what will matter the most,” sey ng beauty queen-actress sa naganap na “Sunkissed Runway” fashion show sa Manila noong May 17.

Sambit pa niya, “Anong pinaglalaban ninyo on the Miss Universe stage? Because as we all know, Miss Universe is an amazing platform to really create those positive changes all around the universe.”

“This is the last five days before the big night, and one of these girls is going to be the next Miss Universe Philippines. How are you all feeling? A lot of anxiety, a lot of pressure, I know how it feels, twice akong sumali eh,” patuloy ni Michelle na rumampa rin sa nasabing event kasama ang 53 contenders ng MUPH competition.

Kung matatandaan, bago tanghaling Miss Universe Philippines 2023 si Michelle, siya ay unang kinoronahan bilang Miss Universe Philippines-Tourism noong 2022 kung saan ang nag-reyna that time ay si Celeste Cortesi.

Noong 2019 naman nang magwagi siyang Miss World Philippines.

Nang tanungin naman si Michelle kung kanino niya bet ipamana ang titulo at korona, ang sey niya: “I am a firm believer that on that night, destiny will prevail and we can’t pinpoint one specific person.”

“Because at the end of the day, whoever shines the brightest on May 22 will really be the deserving head to be crowned,” wika niya.

Kasunod niyan, aminado ang reigning queen na hindi pa siya handang ipasa ang kanyang korona.

“I’m definitely not ready to pass the crown yet. Feeling ko talaga iiyak ako on stage,” chika niya.

Paliwanag ni Michelle, “I mean, I always say that this is the end of a one-year reign, but also a closing chapter of a seven-year pageant journey. So once again, thank you so much.”

Gayunpaman, excited na rin daw siya kung sino ang magwawagi at mag-uuwi ng MUPH 2024 title.

Mensahe niya sa mga kandidata, “Marami kayong gagawin, hindi pa talaga tapos ang trabaho. This is going to be the first step in an amazing journey for the rest of your lives. And take it from me, I have had such a wonderful year.”

Nag-request pa siya sa aspirants na mag-relax at mag-enjoy lamang sa inaabangang big night ng kompetisyon.

Ang coronation show ng Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant ay mangyayari sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City sa darating na May 22.

Mas marami ang kokoronahang reyna ngayong taon dahil may apat na nadagdagang titles.

Ito ang Miss Supranational Philippines, Miss Charm Philippines, Miss Eco International Philippines, at Miss Cosmo Philippines.

Samantala, ang mga magsisilbing hosts ng event ay sina Emmy award-winner Jeannie Mai, Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel, Alden Richards, Tim Yap, at Gabbi Garcia.

Ang mga magtatanghal naman ay ang Thai superstar na si Win Metawin, international drag performer na si Marina Summer, at bandang Lola Amour.

Ang magwawagi sa national pageant ay ilalaban sa ika-73rd edition ng Miss Universe na gaganapin sa Mexico bago matapos ang taong ito.
