Ogie nagpaka-‘fanboy’ kay Gary, naging inspirasyon sa buhay, career

MATAPOS mapanood ang 40th showbiz anniversary concert ni Gary Valenciano, proud na ibinandera ni Ogie Alcasid ang kanyang pagiging fanboy!
Sa Instagram, inamin ni Ogie na matagal na niyang idol ang binansagang Mr. Pure Energy.
Ikinuwento pa niya na una silang nagkakilala sa music ministry group ng La Salle Greenhills.
“I met him in 1984 when I was a member of ‘Kundirana’ and he was mentoring us on the fundamentals of live performance most especially in choreography as he was already a superstar at this time,” pag-alala niya.
Ibinunyag din ng mister ni Regine Velasquez na si Gary V ang nagsilbing inspirasyon niya sa buhay, lalo na pagdating sa karera.
Kaya laking pasasalamat daw niya na nakasama at nakatrabaho niya ito sa ilang proyekto.

“Followed his career and music. Inspired by his life. As fate would have it, we would be put together in shows on ABS-CBN called Your Face Sounds Familiar, ASAP Natin ‘To, Co-hurado for Tawag ng Tanghalan sa It’s Showtime and even did a film together entitled ‘I Do Bidoo Bidoo’,” kwento niya.
Bukod diyan, proud din niyang ibinahagi na si Gary V ay ninong ng anak nila ni Regine na si Nate na kung saan ay lagi daw itong present sa tuwing may espesyal na okasyon ang kanilang pamilya.
“Needless to say, we became brothers for life,” paglalarawan ni Ogie sa kaibigan.
Nabanggit din niya na lalo siyang humanga at bumilib sa dedikasyon ni Gary V pagdating sa kanyang faith at talento sa musika nang mapanood ang “One Last Time” concert noong April 27 na ginanap sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City.
“I witnessed his full testimony of his dedication to his craft, his amazing artistry, and most importantly his FAITH. That faith which makes him constantly point us to JESUS,” wika niya sa IG.
Mensahe pa niya, “God bless you brother and all that you do in the name of our Lord and Savior. Love you man.”

Kung matatandaan, nauna nang nilinaw ni Gary V na hindi siya magreretiro sa kanyang music career hanggang siya’y nabubuhay.
Kumalat kasi ang mga chikang last performance na niya ang upcoming concert dahil sa naging titulo nito.
Sa isang interview with showbiz insider na si Ogie Diaz, Ipinaliwanag ng veteran singer na nais niya lamang iparating na isang panibagong chapter ang kanyang tatahakin ngayong malapit na siyang maging isang senior citizen.
“Is it gonna be the end? No. But it will be the end of something. It will be the end of a chapter. It won’t be the end of a book –chapter lang, then you’ll open up new chapters…so may mga iba pang darating na events sa buhay ko and I am looking forward to it,” sey ni Gary V.
Sinabi rin niya na dahil sa kanyang edad ay nais na niyang iwan ang titulong “Mr. Pure Energy.”
“I may be Mr. Pure Energy, but I’m also human…I know that it’s time. It’s time for these big concerts, solo, all out, Mr. Pure Energy that has come to an end,” ani niya.
