IN FAIRNESS ang lakas nang maka-summer vibe ng bonggang collaboration ng K-pop star na si Sandara Park at ng Filipino-American rapper na si Apl.de.Ap.
Ang tinutukoy namin ay ang “2 Proud” na mapapakinggan na ngayon sa iba’t ibang streaming platforms matapos itong i-release recently.
Mapapanood na rin ang music video nito sa official YouTube channel ng isa sa mga member ng international group na Black Eyed Peas.

Sa kanyang X (dating Twitter) account, ibinahagi ni Sandara sa madlang pipol kung paano nila binuo ni Apl ang music video ng “2 Proud.”

“Fyi. I don’t have that much exposure in the video of 2proud (crying emoji). It was 2020 when we 1st talked about this collaboration and apl.de.ap asked me to go to LA to record the song and shoot the video. I was super!!!!! Excited!!!” pahayag ni Dara.
Ngunit na-postpone nga ang kanilang MV shoot dahil sa mga restrictions na ipinatupad sa South Korea sa kasagsagan ng COVID-19 pandemic.

“BUT.. u know.. that was the time the pandemic started and I couldn’t go out of the country (crying emoji).
“So I had no choice but to record it in Korea and shoot the video in a chroma key and send them to apl.de.ap. And that’s how we made this music!!!” lahad pa ng tinagurian noong Pambansang Krung Krung ng Pilipinas matapos sumikat sa “Star Circle Quest” reality talent search.
Ni-reveal din ng K-pop idol na hindi talaga naging madali ang proseso ng first collaboration nila ni Apl.

Samantala, nag-share rin si Apl.de.ap ng kanyang mensahe para kay Sandara sa pamamagitan ng kanyang official social media account.
“@daraxxi (Sandara) and I have wanted to work together for years. We had been kicking around songs that could possibly work, and wouldn’t you know, during the pandemic we finally got the track.
“I love it and I hope you do too,” sabi pa ng Black Eyed Peas member sa Instagram.
Ibinandera rin ng singer-songwriter na magkakaroon din ng dance routine ang “2 Proud”, “Dance routine coming soon.” Na sinagot naman ni Sandara ng, “@apldeap (Apl) oooops!!! Let’s do it!!! (fire emojis).”
Ang naturang collaboration song at ang latest music project ni Sandara after niyang i-release ang kanyang first solo extended play self-titled album kung saan nakapaloob ang lead single na “Festival”.
