Libreng sakay para sa mga kababaihan ngayong Women’s Month
HANDOG ng mga miyembro ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang pagbibigay ng libreng sakay (bus rides) para sa mga female commuters sa mga piling araw ng Marso bilang selebrasyon ng Women’s Month.
Ngayong Marso kasi ay ipinagdiriwang ang Buwan ng mga Kababaihan.
Base sa inilabas na pahayag ng Philippine Coast Guard, magkakaroon ng libreng sakay ang mga “Juanas” ngayong darating na March 6, 13, at 20.
“The Philippine Coast Guard extends its support by offering free bus rides to women throughout March,” saad ng Philippine Coast Guard.
Pagpapatuloy nito, “Recognizing the invaluable contributions of women to society, this initiative aims to empower and celebrate their achievements.”

Ang naturang proyekto ay pangugunahan ng Gender and Development Center ng PCG. Ang libreng sakay para sa mga kababaihan ay mula sa Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) papuntang Cubao, Quezon City at vice versa mula 6:00 AM hanggang 5:00PM.
Ini-encouragr naman ng Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) na magsuot ng purple tuwing Biyernes bilang pagsuporta sa “alongside women and advocate for their rights.”
“Together, let’s create a future where everyone thrives regardless of gender,” sey pa ng PCW.
