Nancy Binay kay Mariel: May kasamang kapanagutan ang pagiging artista
NAGBIGAY pahayag si Senate Ethics and Privileges Committee Chair Sen. Nancy Binay kaugnay ng viral Instagram post ni Mariel Padilla matapos itong magsagawa ng IV drip session sa loob ng opisina ng kanyang mister sa Senado.
Aniya, naba-bother daw siya na baka marami ang mahikayat ng dating TV host sa pagpapa-IV drip.
“I’m not sure if the Ethics Committee can extend its jurisdiction dito sa nangyaring insidente since hindi naman member ng Senado si Ms. Mariel,” panimula ni Sen. Nancy.
Pagpapatuloy pa niya, “But we also need to closely look into it because it involves issues of conduct, integrity, and reputation of the Institution and matters that concern health and safety.”
Hindi pa rin kasi aprubado ng Food and Drug Authority (FDA) at ng Department of Health (DOH) at itinuturing pa ring “unsafe” ang IV drip.

“Nakaka-bother lang dahil yung IV procedure was done inside the Senate premises na walang abiso mula sa clinic,” ani Sen. Nancy sa ginawa ni Mariel.
“And to make it more complicated, yung IV drip ay ni-declare na mismo ng DOH na unsafe, banned ng FDA, and it was administered outside the clinic without the proper medical advice from a licensed health professional.”
Payo pa ni Sen. Nancy sa mga public figures tulad ni Mariel na maging responsable sa mga ikinikilos at ipinapkits sa publiko.
“As public figures, sana aware din tayo sa [responsibilidad] natin sa publiko. We might be promoting something na ipinagbabawal at iligal, at akala ng mga tao eh okey lang.
“Isipin din natin may kasamang kapanagutan ang pagiging artista, lalo na kung senador ang asawa mo,” sey pa ni Sen. Nancy Binay.
Samantala, natawa lang ni Sen. Robin ang pambabash ng mga netizens kay Mariel at sinabing wala namang intensyon ang asawa na bastusin ang Senado.
“Nakakatawa naman po ang political isyu na ‘yan, my goodness. Kung may nakita po silang masama sa larawan na ‘yan, paumanhin po,” sey ng actor-politician.
