IBINUNYAG ni Liza Soberano ang isa sa mga naging inspirasyon niya upang subukang gumawa ng pangalan sa Hollywood.
Siya’y walang iba kundi ang award-winning actress na si Dolly de Leon!
Sa Q&A YouTube video na ibinandera ng Universal Pictures Philippines, ang local distributor ng Hollywood movie ni Liza na “Lisa Frankenstein,” ipinakita ng aktres ang kanyang pagka-fangirl kay Dolly.
Isa kasi ang batikang aktres sa mga nagtanong sa kanya bago ipalabas ang bagong pelikula sa February 7.
“I’m curious to know, how exciting is it for you to break into Hollywood?” usisa sa kanya ni Dolly.
Pagbati naman sa kanya ni Liza, “Hi, Ms. Dolly. Oh my gosh, thank you so much for saying yes to this and for asking that question.”

Sagot niya, “The feeling that I got after the trailer of ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ dropped is, para akong nabunutan ng tinik.”
Inamin ni Liza na marami siyang hinarap na pagsubok sa nakalipas na dalawang taon, pero ito rin daw ay napawi at naging “worth it” nang napanood na niya ang trailer ng kanyang upcoming film.
Kasabay niyan, binanggit na rin ng dalaga na si Dolly ang isa sa mga nagsilbing inspirasyon niya upang ma-establish ang kanyang sarili na maging Hollywood star.
“I was inspired by people like you who are constantly pushing the envelope, striving for greatness in everything that you do, and I wanted that for myself too. Here we are now, Ms. Dolly,” sambit ng dalaga.
Kasunod niyan, lubos na ipinagmamalaki ni Liza ang pagiging parte ng isang komunidad na nirerepresenta ang Pilipinas sa international film industry.
Ani ng aktres, “I’m proud that both of us are part of a large community of Filipino people who are trying to represent our country and make our fellow Filipinos proud.”
Bukod kay Dolly, ilan pa sa mga nagtanong kay Liza ay ang kanyang longtime boyfriend na si Enrique Gil, ang actor-talent manager na si James Reid, at ilang sa mga fans niya.
Kasalukuyang nasa United States ang aktres para mag-promote ng kanyang Hollywood debut na “Lisa Frankenstein” na tungkol sa isang teenager na na umibig sa isang gwapong bangkay.
Mula ito sa direksyon ni Zelda Williams at ang mga bida ay sina Kathryn Newton at Cole Sprouse.

“‘Lisa Frankenstein,’ a sardonic spin on Mary Shelley’s 1818 classic, tells the story of Lisa Swallows (Kathryn Newton), an awkward 17-year-old trying to adjust to a new school and a new life after her mother’s death and her father’s hasty remarriage.
“Despite the unwavering support offered by her plucky cheerleader step sister Taffy (Liza Soberano), Lisa only finds solace in the abandoned cemetery near her house, where she tends to the grave of a young man who died in 1837 – and whose corpse she unwittingly reanimates (Cole Sprouse).
