Saab Magalona nagpasko sa ospital, sumailalim sa surgery: I’m now recovering

KAKAIBANG Pasko ang na-experience ng social media influencer at singer na si Saab Magalona ngayong taon.
Paano ba naman kasi, sinugod siya sa ospital at sumailalim sa surgery nang dahil sa karamdaman niyang “Meckel’s Diverticulum.”
Para sa kaalaman ng marami, ang nasabing sakit ay isang rare congenital condition na may umbok sa ibabang bahagi ng small intestine o maliit na bituka, base sa explanation ng Cleveland Clinic.
Sa pamamagitan ng Instagram, nagkaroon ng health update si Saab noong December 24.
Tuwang-tuwa siya dahil finally ay nakasama na niya ang kanyang mga anak na sina Pancho at Vito matapos ang kanyang operasyon.
“[The surgery] was a success and I’m now recovering and will hopefully be out of the hospital in a few days,” saad niya sa IG post.
Aniya pa, “Thank you so much for your prayers and well-wishes.”

Nag-post din sa IG ang kanyang mister na musician na si Jim Bacarro at ikinuwento ang mala-roller coaster journey nila patungkol sa biglaang life-threatening na experience habang nakabakasyon.
“Seven days ago, I was in a situation I could never have imagined: carrying my best friend’s unconscious body across a room,” panimula niya.
Pag-alala pa ng musician, “She was vomiting, losing blood, and I was screaming for help, urging her to wake up, to stay alive, as Pancho and Vito watched and screamed in fear.”
Nabanggit din niya na tinulungan sila ng kanyang ama kung saan sumakay pa sila ng bangka at ambulansya papunta sa ospital ng Kalibo.
“Saab, my father and I took a boat and a two-hour ambulance ride to Kalibo, while Saab continued to lose a significant amount of blood and battled pneumonia,” sambit ni Jim.
Patuloy niya, “We managed an emergency airlift back to Manila. Even after our arrival, the bleeding continued, so yesterday, our trusted surgeon, Dr. Jay Hippolito, performed a two-hour open surgery on Saab. She is now recovering and stable.”
“Currently, we’re in our hospital room, looking forward to enjoying some soup for Noche Buena, while our boys spend Christmas with our family,” Dagdag ng musikero.

Sa huli ay lubos niyang pinasalamatan ang kanyang ama, pati na rin ang kanyang pamilya na inalagaan ang kanilang mga anak habang sila’y nasa ospital.
“To God, thank you for showing me that at the end of the day, light will always outshine the darkness,” lahad ni Jim sa post.
“It’s a strange Christmas indeed—yet may be our most special one,” saad pa niya.
Ani pa niya, “We’re together, alive and continue to feel God’s presence through other people.”
